Sorry Cat Lady. http://ap.ironman.com/~/media/e0fe7f2e9f5f4c9c9b60485792854f2c/ntmsf18 wave start times.pdf I'm in the last wave - Family Team 9.31am. My wife is worrying about her cyclist cutoff time. Is there one? If so, what is it? Mind you, I think she'll do the 40kms in about 1:15-1:20 (AVS 31-21kmh) so even if I don't start till last, surely she'll be OK?

dazmuzza 198
My wave is 45 minutes later than last year. This time I'm at around 8am. I'm in the 'heavy dudes' cat. If I switched to my age cat, I get a 45 minute earlier start as well. Wonder if its worth going earlier? Edited October 18, 2018 by dazmuzza

Lufcbully 1
Hi all, over from England and racing noosa for the first time, what are the expo's like? Looking to get a new pair of goggles for it and wondering wether to get a pair before or get a pair there. Hoping it's not a wetsuit swim too as I'll have to buy /hire one! Mate I wouldn't buy my goggles the day before a race if I were you, esp a 1.5 k open water swim. Those are something I'd want to have tested a few times and be pretty use to before race day. The expo is good, a lot of the new and latest things, and a lot of hype too. Noosa is great though, you'll love it. Good luck

chappy019 23
Pretty smart marketing I would have thought. Rocket Salad 1,163
The new "in" place to eat is Noosa Junction. Some great restaurants have opened up there in the last 12 months. All are on the cheaper side.
goughy 3,726
Is your idea of cheaper and my idea of cheaper the same? Is the junction better than it used to be? Used to remind me a bit too much of Toowoomba, but I guess I was parking a Kingswood there back then. And there was no Sheraton down at the heads.
Ex-Hasbeen 8,122
My in-laws had a holiday house at Peregian Beach, and we always went to the Junction. More variety in cuisine rather than just expensive crap along Hasting St that would leave you hungry. I didn't mind the Mexican that used to be upstairs on Hasting, but other than that it would be the Junction.
