Parkside 1,203
On 19/09/2018 at 7:51 PM, Pete said: The DPP have behaved atrociously - I cant believe that what they call evidence was actually unverified statements from the suspect - "shes used her credit card since" or "friends have seen her" - that police recorded as evidence - both considered reasons why they didn't prosecute. Sounds like everyone wanted to be mates with Chris and Paul cos they were top blokes so everything they said was gospel. Listened to the entire series in a day and a bit on a tractor. Very disturbing. Really hope they get the perpetrator

Couple of comedians talking about deaths in various small towns (has to be under 35,000 popn to qualify). Quite long episodes as most go a touch over 2 hours, really impressed with the amount of research they do and learnt a bit about the various legals issues, particularly around death sentences. Mostly US towns, but have gone to Australia, Canada and UK as well for cases. Really seems to be some dumb persons out there trying to get away with these murders, loved one episode on a murder from the early 90s when the murderer confessed when they were told the photocopy machine was a lie detector Almost going to miss my long commutes just as I found podcasts... Been binging on this of late. Highly recommend.

Killed his wife, destroyed the life of the poor teenage (Jo) girl who he manipulated into being a kind of replacement wife and mother at age 17. And of course, the two poor daughters who now have to contend with a missing mother and a murderer father. Interesting to see the (bad) longer term effects of the teachers relationships with teenage girls and the group determined to see justice in this area also. I wonder if we will see more arrests? roxii 7,187
How weird is their defence resting on a similar case where a woman disappeared and was only found 60 years later when she died in NZ. ..... and it’s the twin brothers mother in law

And the older brother HAD to have known when he represented Chris at the coroner's inquest(s). So what they all do? Just sit around and say "Well, Chris killed Lynne, we can't do anything about that now. Let's just ignore the fact that Chris is a cold blooded murderer and pretend nothing happened..?!" WTF?!
Ironnerd 882
I finally caught up and finished "My Dad Wrote a Porno". I now know who the special one is 😀. I have had to avoid social media to not spoil the last episode. I have really been enjoying the Hamish and Andy podcast this year. I think that they were getting a bit stale with a daily radio show. But a weekly podcast, with out some of the restrictions of radio, is very funny.

I think that not knowing who did it is part of the attraction of true crime podcasts. One of the most successful podcasts "Serial" examined if the corrected person was locked up. "Making a Murderer", particularity season 2 is about who did the framing and who might have done the murder. BTW I do not think that he was framed.
