Sports watch with built in HRM

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at purchasing a sports watch for a friend and she would like to track HR as well but I'm thinking of one without a HR strap. Budget would be around $200 gps is not necessary but could be useful for her if they came with it. She's just your everyday exerciser and doesn't race so no need for multi sport options either.

Is this achievable for that kind of budget or would you be looking at HR strap compatible ones?

The tomtom watches are cheap and do this. Sportspursuit often has the cardio gps watch for circa $150. Got one for my wife

Yeah I was looking at that today but I only think they have red ones and not real girly I'll have another look though cheers

This is true. You can get a slim strap for them in various colours though... are around $30ish

I have a brand new, never used, still in the box Polar M400 (pink) with GPS, HRM and bluetooth (received as a present). I have seen them for up to $270 but as low as $199 - here ==>https://www.thepolarshop.com.au/polar-m400-pink

Yours for $150 plus any postage and handling from Sydney. Have a read of the link. Let me know if interested.

I bought a Mio Alpha 2 a few months ago for about $200 form Wiggle. Specifically used for HR monitoring, and has no GPS.Had a problem downloading the Mio App to my Iphone , but eventually got it all working and really like it.

I use a TomTom multisport with cardio and love it. As for the colour, the bands are easily changeable. And most importantly a quick bluetooth upload to your phone for Strava.
