He didn't win, so he's still a kiwi.

Outsprinted for another minor placing for Sagan.   Maybe he should have tried to break away in the closing stages.

I'm surprised people think he can win a Grand Tour at all.   His best performance in any GT was 7th in his first Giro, and that only came after being given 12mins in a breakaway. Granted since then

Wheres Trev and his Stage previews. Shame about the weather FP - hope it doesn't cause any crashes. Have to say post Impey positive test I've been a bit less interested in the Tour buildup - heres hoping for a good opening stage.

What time will they actually be on the bikes FP?

Cheers

SBS app quotes start time as 9pm AEST. Which indeed is midday there.

Live video on the app starts at 8.30.

No favourites this year but doesn't mean I'm not excited.

SBS's coverage of the Giro just got the fire burning and now it's all aflame!!!

Have a good Tour everyone

Cheers

There will be a quiz tomorrow on dry stone walls. Hope you were all listening to Paul a little earlier ;)

I've got Carlton Kirby on Eurosport. ITV4 has P&P if I'm desperate (which I'm not), but I'll see your dry stone wall and raise you a lesson on trout tickling (I wish I was kidding!).

Ahh I miss the countryside. The "Bush" just isn't the same.

One of the main reasons I needed to come back for a while (that and the warm beer and cold pies)

Cav took Gerrans down with him. Looked nasty

Other way around, Gerrans leans right in and blocks him out. They both would have been ok but the Europcar guy shut the exit door. Looks like Cav is out.

Bugger, not good to see a crash in the finish.

Cav would have really wanted that win.

Yeah, they interviewed him before the start, he was up for it because his Mum id from Harrogate.

Gotcha. Replay showed Gerrans slightly in front so I thought Cav leaning in then took him out.

Either way my shoulder tensed up on sympathy.

6 of one and half a dozen of the other after watching it again. Gerans in front but leaning into Cav who then was leaning back, but neither of them were going anywhere when the Europcar rider arrived.

I didn't have Cav on my team.
