lawman 501
Twitter has gone nuts. Election is on. Sounds like a circus. How the f---- does McQuaide drum up such support. It's not looking good.
Steno 444
Is there a vote or isn't there a vote?!?... It is a rhetorical comment. Meanwhile the world champ races continue and the focus is on this @&$& And breaking news... Looks like there is a vote.. Which of course will be appealed whichever way it goes... TUv5.0 370
Hey I bet McQuaid is heartbroken.... will get a seat on the IOC to console himself, same as Les McDonald did when he got punted. Tragic huh? Couldn't happen in triathlon... oh sorry it already did.
TUv5.0 370
Few words spring to mind. Forest Trees Bubble Naïve Sepp Blatter ..... anyone wanna play? The jokes on you. Oh and me too actually.

Sirshiv 24
I saw on the ABC news tonight that the UCI wanted Armstrong on the board, and that he could "help"?! What a friggin joke! Boo hiss cycling!
TrevS 349
No, that's a massive misinterpretation. It was said that Armstrong would be invited to be a part of any truth and reconciliation. Just as any other rider (or former) This means, for riders (or others) to come in and spill all the beans. TUv5.0 370
Don't tell oldave that, he'll come out swinging!! With his voluminous and expansive knowledge of triathlon competition at the elite level and history of the sport and its governance Im sure he can offer a huge value add. Tragic huh? Couldn't happen in triathlon... oh sorry it already did. McQuaid lost his position on the UCI. Losing the UCI Presidential position meant standing down from the IOC as well. His place on the IOC will be assigned to another candidate, not necessarily from the cycling fraternity.though. That is why McQuaid was using his IOC membership as a part of his campaign to remain as UCI President. ie:If I'm not re-elected cycling risks being cast out of the Olympics. Except no spot on IOC committee doesn't mean sport is thrown out of Olympics, just means McQuiad gets thrown off the gravy train. There is only 15 IOC slots, but many more sports than 15....
