Ex-Hasbeen 8,122
I had youtube running in the background yesterday while I was working. It was playing Oils on the Water, Midnight Oil's 1985 concert on Goat Island. It would have to be one of the best playlists I have ever heard, and the band was so tight, and delivered it so well. Huge envy for anybody that was actually there. Edited June 9, 2017 by Ex-Hasbeen

First time I remember seeing 'em was mid 90's, at a gig called the "Barbed Wire Ball" at The Palace in St Kilda. On the bill that night was The Angels, Screaming Jets & The Poor. Also went on to see The Angels many more times.

goughy 3,735
One of my favourite Stones songs, and probably one of my favourites period! I love the start; the guitar sound is gorgeous. Richards ended up playing an Aussie Maton guitar on the recording, that someone who was crashing at his place (he can't remember who) left behind.
Ex-Hasbeen 8,122
I love this clip from 1981, when the Stones & Muddy Waters played at the Checkerboard in Chicago. The club's half owner, Buddy Guy, also got up on stage for a later number, as did the rest of the Stones. Although it looks like they were coaxed up on stage, it was actually set up the week earlier that they would play & record a number of songs with Muddy, one of their idols. Incidentally they named themselves after one of his songs.
Mike Del 487
Thought I’d share this here. Brisbane’s MMM radio station has been running a listener poll on the GOAT artist/group, and revealing one each day. Only 2 to go. Knowing this station’s main audience (30 - 60) I’m thinking Queen 2nd and AC/DC 1st. But then that would leave KISS right out of the top 20 which surprises me. No sing of MJ either. Some of them are hard to fathom ie Stones 10 & Beatles 8 WTF , but apparently it’s what their listeners voted for. Edited June 17, 2020 by Mike Del
