Just had a look at the forecast and it looks like we're in for a fantastic weekend up in the Sunshine state. This will be my first Mooloolaba and I am really looking forward to it! Nice long weeekend for us leaving Sydney on Friday morning and coming back Monday afternoon. Bring it on! So who else is in?

How the hell do I get the Mooloolaba race-number tattoo off easily?

I notice in the competitor information booklet out today one of the stated rules is that no compression socks are allowed in the swim. Apart from the reason you look like a knob and they can't mark your calf with your number, is there any other legitimate reason for this rule? Seems kind of odd. Disclaimer: I do not own a pair nor am likely ever to own a pair, just wondering about the reasoning.
