  1. 70.3 maybe in Amsterdam supporting a close friend who is in a massive battle with Cystic Fibrosis n then if I really can do a 70.3 I'm reaching to be just the 2nd bloke ever with CF n lung transplant to finish n a 140.6 - an American, Scott Johnson, did it at age 33. I'm 47 n its a massive ask however why can't I do it I ask? Hahahaha Thanks everyone
  2. I only just found this site again! I wanted to let those on here, particularly the people with a Cystic Fibrosis connection, that I nominated for the wrong race at Kingscliff! So I nominated for March 2018 rather than the December one late last year. I got the job done and am targeting a 70.3 in September should I continue to get stronger. In a shameless brag I was so stoked to have the Australian Triathlete Magazine feature me as their #Inspo story for the July edition coming out shortly! Thanks again for your encouragement n I hope one day you may pick me out if we Cross paths in a Tri - I'l
  3. I've paid up for the Kingscliff Individual Olympic Triathlon this Sunday 3rd November. KieranR your post motivated me to have a lash this weekend, I hope I can get the job done for your daughter's best mate... Thanks everyone for your encouragement, cheers Rod
  4. I'm toying with the idea of entering an Olympic distance triathlon early December however my concern is my time will be around 3 1/2 hours yet hoping a little less. I'm being encouraged to enter as I'm 46 and had a double lung transplant in 2015 due to Cystic Fibrosis and it would be a great opportunity to raise awareness for organ donation due to the media coverage I'm told will happen. I am working towards a 70.3 Ironman next year and feel this is a great opportunity to get familiar with the longer distances yet I don't want to embarrass myself nor belittle the serious athletes! All opinions
