  1. Why not. For the last 12 weeks it has been 5 up to 7hrs. It would be that long if out on the road. I enjoy it. It makes me happy and give me a sense of satisfaction to progressive to different levels. Training for me is a great way to relieve anxiety, stress and it gives me self worth. You may have others reasons and that is completely up to you.

  3. Had the Yamaha SportsScoot in 2007/11 Was great around town (wasnt that safety conscious....was on my way to work). Traded it in (haha) on the Triumph Bonneville in 2012, (still have it, rubbish photo after I switched the snail eyes for bar end mirrors) and the Yamaha XT250 in 2017

  4. I fail to understand what this has to to do with my post. I offered Goughy what I thought might be an answer to his question. I’ll add that I don’t totally agree with your opinion of politicians. My wife has been the secretary for 3 State Premiers and the exec Secretary of State Cabinet. I’ve met and know many many politicians and while I believe everyone does tell lies, I’ve found most of them to be basically honest people, totally the opposite of Trump

  6. I went down to Currumbin Alley today. It was so flat Ironman are looking at it for a bike course. My complete lack of fitness, core strength and terrible balance make surfing an interesting choice 😂

  8. Hi Charlie - the biggest tip you'll get from your new found friends here is that the answer to all your problems is always to get a "new bike" 😉😊

  11. I’m making the observation that behaviour which qualified someone as a “devoted family man” in the 1950s has some parallels with the requirements to go ok at IM. (Check out Back in Time for Dinner if you need a reminder on how societal norms have changed) Where I’m inclined to get judgemental is whether individuals leaning on a spouse in pursuit of [insert time intensive thing like IM, fishing, etc here] have the insight to recognise just how heavily they are leaning, compared to others.

  12. Mate, I'm going to go out on a massive limb and say I would vote for the WA border to remain shut AND I've got way more education than you AND studied economics among many other things AND lost my own job due to COVID AND had my partner lose income due to COVID AND would never consider driving a Ford (Holden or bust) AND have many friends and family working in the airline and tourism industries AND have all of my family with the exception of my partner living on the east coast AND would like you to shut the hell up.

  13. Most non-US media give Trump a pretty bad run - in fact a question to ask is has there every been anything good reported about Trump in the media? If the answer is NO (and it probably is) it should send alarm bells. Similarly the same should be said of The Bolt Report but (obviously) has anything bad been reported. We are all shaped by our media - and our compounding biases - If you are truly open minded you would have to conclude that Trump is almost certainly not as bad you think he is - having said that I still think he's bad news and, if they had to have a Republican POTUS i would

  14. Listen, I'm a politician which means I'm a cheat and a liar, and when I'm not kissing babies I'm stealing their lollipops. But it also means I keep my options open.

  15. Sounds like you have pretty close political ties to one of the parties, or does your wife's role involve working for whoever the sitting government is? Re politicians I believe most generally start off with best intentions but soon fall into the trap of paying back favours and getting loose with the truth. All sides. For that matter I see people in positions of power increasingly lie the higher up the food chain you go. The guy stacking boxes in the warehouse will be the most honest in the company...maybe I'm just jaded from being privy to the inner workings.

  18. I'm not endorsing Trump lying but catching him lying is hardly ground breaking. What I'd be impressed with is if you could find me a politician who when you googled their name for lies it didn't come up with a list as long as your arm Sad isn't it...

  21. There has been a recall but not the one I was thinking of. https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/2019/march/triumph-recall-/ I'm obviously losing the plot. I can't find the reference now but there does seem to be an issue if your bike has been dropped. https://www.triumphrat.net/threads/t120-gearbox-issues.966051/ The reference to Stuart Fillingham is pretty funny. I used to watch his channel but he drones on so much, seems to love his own voice and just doesn't get to the point. I've gave up his channel when he just used to moan about money and his subscribers all the time a

  23. Remarkably similar experience to Zed. Grade 4 dislocation to AC, Labrum tear and rotator cuff was stuffed. Multiple cortisone injections to the rotator cuff but didn't have much positive impact. Full shoulder recovery with a hamstring graft and plate inserted. 13 weeks in a sling. Shoulder has only ever come about 80% good with noticeably less movement and strength. 11 years down the track and starting to get a lot of grief pain wise again to the point of not being able to sleep on that side. Another side effect has been numerous headaches since the surgery from ongoing nec

  25. Walked ten miles in smoke with an industrial strength face mask to finish off the virtual 2020 Santa Barbara triathlon. Wanted to run it, but I'd still be coughing up my lungs if I tried. Or still be passed out if I tried running with the mask.😷

  27. Bloody Brisbane south-siders contagious again; it's time to blow up the gateway and storey bridges, block the cross river tunnels, use the Army to exterminate anyone trying to cross into the golden clean north-side.

  29. After having binge watched Homeland I got past series 7 and looking forward to series 8 - but where to find it? It's not on Netflix Prepared to buy it off whatever platform has it, my apple TV found it for me. Believe it or not - all of series 8 is available for free on good old SBS on demand! How good is SBS?! Anyway I really enjoyed it but I could be considered a bit of a Homeland die-hard now so not sure how a first time viewer would react to 8 on its own?

  30. Once again, the long term effects of this virus are unknown, but issues have already been presenting themselves in the first wave. Reduced lung and heart function are two. For some of us this could be a fate worse than death.

  36. Drove all the way to Devon this morning to pick up this board I saw in a shop whilst on holiday last week. I don't make knee jerk holiday purchases but I have to admit that my pop ups aren't as quick as they used to be, post spinal snap. So I sold my Greg Clough custom and now have this. Lord knows when I'll get to ride it but soon I hope.
