  2. I had to put my old red dog to sleep a few weeks ago, as she had gone downhill quickly. No way i was going to keep her around suffering. I now have a new pup. It took my other 2 a few weeks to accept him, but all good now.

  3. Yeh just a few flippant statements, no harm done. Just unlucky to loose almost a dozen court cases for slander, and be on the wrong end of hundreds of thousands in damages and fines, almost loose his radio station’s license, plus cause 2 court cases to be abandoned and restarted because of his comments. And for weeks falsely accusing the Wagner brothers of causing the deaths of 9 innocent people, surely just a harmless flippant statement that did no harm. And really, who hasn’t accidentally sent a love letter to a 14 year old boy. With AJ retired, who’s going to tell me while I’m driving to wo

  5. For sure. She had a good life, and was over 15. Working from home meant I was home for her last few weeks, and it was clear it was no life for her to live.

  6. My part time kitty (Zuri) is back. Good timing. With the kitchen ceiling unexpectedly falling down, renos nearing completion I needed some stress release (paints not matching and the contractors said it is as good as it is going to get....😒) And on 4 weeks leave.....cleaning up plaster dust.....sigh. You can't help but feel good when you nanny nap and she cuddles up next to you.

  8. First ride outside in about 7 weeks. One ride that has been on my bucket list since I got into cycling was to ride from my home to my childhood home which is 100km away. Ticked that one off this morning. Longest ride in a few years and was so nice to just ride for the sake of riding! Then did the Zwift 6 train route tonight.

  10. They aren't doing any such thing, in fact they are imploring people not to use the trains. Read my previous posts as to why the trains are packed. I've given up on this thread, too may experts that don't even live here chiming in and I'm fed up with repeating myself. Knock yourselves out.

  11. Started 27 yesterday. I've found I can watch them on the main TV through the You Tube app, so it'll slow down to just when I can get in front of the TV.

  12. Yeah, we were thinking of visiting our girls in Sydney next week, rang the NSW hotline & they said it was fine to go. But our kids are not so keen, they & their partners reckon it's not over yet and one is predicting a 2nd wave here too. So we'll put it off and see what happens. Still, for me, the whole thing has been a God-send. Working from home has made me realise what a negative effect going to the office every day was having on my mood. Going to have to review my working arrangements methinks.

  14. Will they add a bike handling test to registration, given all these people who never ride a bike off a trainer or will they be forced to have training wheels on their TT bikes ?

  21. Oh, hope things improve, other than the kids not being at school sounds similar. They have brought the end of the year ahead by two weeks so no school till August with the big whammy of no place to go for holiday. I grapple with just go back to Oz, but think I'll wait on the school year. I am lucky in that we get a tutor paid for its just having the kids at home and trying to work from home

  23. It's going ok thanks. We all wish we were in Oz for some reasons and at the same time we are glad we are here for others. Hampshire has a very high infection rate and Winchester seems to be quite high. I'm not sure if that's some spill over from the Uni in the early days, which has a massive population of Chinese students, or something else? But life is largely unaffected for us as a family, apart from losing my job. We never really ate out, never have extended family or friends to stay, so the biggest impact is home schooling. Mrs FP is heavily involved through her job with the local m

  24. I thought I had gone zwift mad doing 10 to 12 hours. I hit my limit and am now waiting on the shop to build my roubaix so I can get outside again. My venge lost its little 2mm deralliur hanger bolt and they are hard to get hold off, so faced with a 20 cent bolt I bought: https://www.spokesetc.com/product/specialized-roubaix-comp-ultegra-di2-358639-1.htm This instead

  25. Set a 5km PB for the year...fastest 5km since 2012 in 22:08. Goal at the start of the year was sub 22:30 as I was struggling to break 26 at the time. My fastest ever 5km is 20:50. Now wondering if I can get to that this year. I still have about 12-15kg to lose to get to ideal weight so if I can get that off I reckon I am a chance!

  30. I hope they're all wrong but to the untrained eye (I'm no epidemiologist) I really cannot see what has changed. We still have thousands of new confirmed cases each day (3,451 yesterday, daily stats here: https://twitter.com/DHSCgovuk) and hundreds of people dying (468 yesterday). We're cramming people back onto trains / the tube / buses and planning on sending kids back to school without actually solving or changing anything. Like I said, I don't know for certain, nobody does, but at a tactical level in SJA we're gearing up for another busy few weeks similar to what we had when it starte
