  1. Yep. Just ticking it out by clocking up the minimal quota +/- a few % each day. 2019 saw a little llama join the family this year so I have to schedule things around that little guy... and his mum who's also going to hit the 500 tomorrow. Indoor kms counting would have been a godsend this year. Nice work to everyone hitting the 500 (even 1/2 is a good week on the bike) Happy (almost) 2020 Trannies!

  2. So now you're publicly accusing me of deception? Here, try the link for yourself and you can apologise for that as well. https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/fire-information/fdr-and-tobans Interesting we have people in Victoria and Queensland who think they know more about what's happening in Sydney than the people that live there. Ironic they'd be using the media for their information. Perhaps if they listened to the 'media spin' properly - instead of having their heads up their arses - they'd have heard reporting on the weekend of a 7 day TFB for NSW. As for people's enjoyment, w

  3. A fairly open ended question. At a minimum, I would recommend at least 1 swim, 1 ride and 1 run per week. Each session longer than that leg in the race (eg. 1km swim, 30km bike, 8km run). You will be fitter and faster if you manage 2 of each discipline per week. Once you get up around 3 times a week of each discipline, you can start extending one your run and bike sessions into long runs and long rides. And one of your other runs and rides can be more intensive sessions. Like 400m repeats at an athletic track and repeats of 6 to 10 min hard efforts at a Velodrome or on the Trainer. You

  4. I suspect those that lived through the 2003 fires which killed 4, injured hundreds and destroyed nearly 500 homes might disagree. Many homes burned were no where near any forest. Homes destroyed by fire extended many km from the fringe areas. Canberra is a city populated with humans like the rest of us. It's extremely dry at present and highly prone to further fire threat. I would consider their decision to be prudent.

  7. Thanks Tyno. When I look at it that way, it should be no issue polishing it off before New Year's so I can start the year healthy. By the way. What was the name of that Diabetes doctor you were seeing?

  9. Based on this year, still being alive at the end of 2020 would be nice! I saw the Neurologist yesterday, as it's exactly six months after having my brain seizures. He agreed to let me try to wean myself off the anti-seizure medication (Keppra) and has said that it's ok for me to swim and ride again as long as I'm aware of the risks. So far I've only had one swim and, apart from it being really slow & awkward, it was bloody brilliant! I also saw my Urologist recently to get my latest PSA results (which were taken six weeks after my surgery for Prostate Cancer). The Urologist sa

  10. Alex's description on previous page describes us perfectly. 6.6kw/5kw inverter, comb of N and W facing on 2 arrays for 21 panels. We have averaged 20kWh/day PV production over the last 28 days. Our net meter gets installed tomorrow. We have averaged 5kWh net consumption from grid over last 28 days down from 28in previous 3 months. One daughter away for 3 weeks helps!!!! Goughy I would also use wattever website to compare electricity suppliers. I've realised the companies will only show you their solar plans if they already have a solar system registered at your address. use the wattever p
