To a degree, although some separate tops have varying zip lengths. Perhaps if the options are not what you want please specify below. cheers.

My perfect trisuit would be long enough in the torso then I would buy it, I go 2 piece instead

On all the ones I have had they needed a longer zipper, down below the navel on the front would be good, way better for portaloo struggles and to minimise potential for tearing in a hurry

Two piece, zip not really necessary, but if there is a zip, then 1/3 length - i.e. just to the bottom of my sternum..

I picked a one piece, but after that the answer is totally ‘it depends’. 
 

sprint and most Olympic distance races - zip at the back, three quarter length.

anything longer, and for extremely hot Olympic distance races, front opening. I haven’t tried one of those ones that open fully but remain attached at the bottom, but the sleeved fusion 3/4 length works a treat for me.
