How’s training going ?

Thanks for the interest.

An invite to start in 2020... verbally yes, but haven’t received an email yet. Getting a bit anxious as one of my club mates has received one, being brought forward from 2021 to 2020. Have called today and last week but told my contact is in meetings, each time.

The finger looks a 100% better but functionally, the end joint is locked up and four months of physio hasn’t shown any increase in range of motion yet. ☹️

Training going well, here in NZ. Though not relishing the months ahead through an Auckland Winter again. Had my first (post crash) race at Tweed Enduro. Not my preferred finish time, but great to be back out there and restore my confidence.

Validating at IM Cairns this year.

Insurance replaced the Red Baron (E112) with an Argon18 E119. I should make a post about my positive experience with the bike replacement.

New bike looks the goods. Is that an oversized jockey wheel with ceramic bearings?

Yes.

Your coach will be angry. Why not just get up an hour earlier & earn your watts..........

Benefit? The ceramic bearings supposedly. As per Bored's sledge, I'll get better watt improvement with more focused training.

I just like them. Apparently I have more money than sense. 🙄

The chain doesn't have to turn as tight so there are less losses due to friction within the chain links.

That wasn’t a sledge. That was me taking the piss out of old mate.
If I was racing Ironman I would be running oversized jockey wheels, ceramic bearings etc
