Well I don't think she can ever win Kona as she is just unlucky to be around at the wrong time.  Mind you Carfrea got luck with Wellington having a bad year.

But I still find her interesting and she's producing good content.

Here's the start of 2020

Yeah she's gonna need the likes of Ruf, Haug etc to either be injured or have off days. Her run isn't where it needs to be.

She's still young (26) in terms of Women's Endurance sports and Kona winners.

In the last 30 years, Ryf at 28 is the youngest winners.

LCB could win in 2020 and still be younger than Ryf was when she first won.

Anne Haug is 36 not 26

There is every chance she will end up like Mark Allen - coming home second a bunch of times against some greats in their prime, until she hits her straps in her peak age range and wins a bunch.

I think Lucy has shown good progression on the run, albeit her progression did stall a bit this year (on the other hand that gritty last 3km to beat Crowley was actually impressive). Clearly she has a massive massive aerobic engine.

She has the potential to work down to a 2:55 Kona run in a few years (it’s easy to forget she’s only been in the sport as an elite AGer and Pro for less than 5 years). That, combined with a fearsome swim-bike combo will take a lot of beating in Kona, even from the most likely ITU uber runners to make the switch after the Tokyo games.

Ryf , Haug and Crowley are all a lot closer to the end of their careers than Lucy.

Crystal ball gazing is not an accurate science, but I’d say the odds are in her favour of winning at least one Hawaiian ironman in the next 5 years.

Oh well

Don't worry Jim. I'll admit I did too when I first saw it.

You never know with these pro's plugging for various products etc.
