I think my rp plan was 4:45 and the ave would drop to maybe 4:48 with the walking bits. I also figured fatigue would see me lose a few seconds so overall average 4:50. Maybe that was too optimistic but so I just need to stick to the bloody plan until 28k and then if I feel great go for it, not have the 1st km as my fastest.

I don’t think anyone in the history of the sport has felt great at 28km have they??

swallowing flies will be more harmful than sharks.

Sharks you want to make sure you chew on a lot more than flies though before swallowing

Looks in better shape than last year. Hope everyone has a good day. Enjoy. Rat dog(Freddy Mercury) has a massive wingspan, he'll swim 1hr flat easy.

No fire restrictions in place tomorrow @KieranRso the budgies will be perfect. The heat generated by your thighs rubbing together will be no risk of starting a grass fire on the run course. 🤣👍👍

Certainly looking forward to see what brownlee can do today.

I expect a sub 8 from him. He should in theory go sub 7.50.

I think the last 4 Ironmans the winner have all gone sub 7.50 and busso being all downhill certainly makes that possible.

However the stats say Timmy Berkel should win.

Would love to see Berks get up again. Watching him vs Shorto back in the day was cool as. Hopefully he doesn't lose much time in T2 getting out of the Jeggings
