Why?

They got touched up by "an old guy"

It was a passing comment originally. Not getting angry at Reedy and Berks. ✌️

I think they would be disappointed to be beaten by someone 10 years older and probably in the twilight of his career. I know Crowie is amazing, but these guys should be beating him.

Podium? As in top three or the top 10 they get on stage.

Im a big Crowie fan but I don’t think he has it to mix it up in Kona

Nah. He'd be lucky to sneak into top 20. His PB would have only got him 4th this year. Good to see him still going hard though!

You cant take anything out of last years times, everyone was super fast, it was the most ideal Kona day in the history of the sport.

Mate they wouldn't care at all, its a low level prize money 70.3 in the Philippines and the organizers fly them out and look after them, so it would have been a B or C race on the yearly schedule.

Nice to see Kirra Seidel nabbed a 3rd in the women's! Aussie's on the male and female podiums!

I've raced over there 3 times, its about 100% Humidity and 36 degrees, there are no normal outcomes in those conditions. On a side note if you get a chance to go race the 70.3 Cebu, its unbelievable and one of the best race experiences you will ever have.

Definitely not - I see him as a smart young guy doing his apprenticeship - there's a few other "hopefuls" who could benefit from a similar path 😎 I rarely use sarcasm I prefer to tell it as it is whether that's popular or not

I wouldn’t call him young... He’s my age and probably not going to do much more than he already is. Nice guy, solid athlete but probably not going to ever be a top pro.

Yeah, i was wondering how he was even a pro as he only ever seemed to do the local QTS races and lucky to hit top 5 at low level 70.3s... he seemed to always have a decent set of sponsors as well..

No I haven't even actually spoken to him - just seen him at races (how old is Willie?) - he seems young to me 🙄 especially when you see what Crowie is doing at his age - how old is too old 😏

Long apprenticeship. He's been around for a long time, done plenty of racing, shouldn't be getting beaten by a 46yr old. But I like him, just cant see him getting to the top level.

I didn't think he was that old - I thought he'd be 40-41
