Left / Right power balance

Recommended Posts

I have noticed my left right power balance is off. 70/30ish depending on the cadence. At low Cadence it gets closer to 45/55 ish but as the RPMs increases the difference increases.

Any tips drills to improve this?

Are you hoping for a different answer asking a second time?

My orginal post was more about what should be a normal / acceptable difference between left/right balance.

My second post was more "what drills/options is there for improving the pedal balance"

Sorry for upsetting the Trannies posting police.

Vegans tend to have a pretty strong left leaning, that could be your issue.

I didn't see you using incorrect grammar.

I'd suggest going to a physio/strength and conditioning coach and working out what exactly is weak that's causing the imbalance.

Just noticed I packed my meat & veg to the right. That would explain the difference.

Good Idea. I will look at booking in to see someone.

I honestly thought this was the forum maintenance/shutdown thing just reposting an old thread.. oops

If there really is a major issue with the balance, ie it isnt the PM reading wrong then it probably is worth getting a full bio mechanical work up for leg length and strength differences... The meat and vege thing was a joke, but how you sit on the saddle could be playing a minior part,  I know when I was on a seat that had actually broken (#fatbastard) and was tilted to one side that my balance was off.

Not sure the one legged drills do much, Can you ride the trainer with the LR balance showing on your garmin and try and keep it closer as you increase cadence. thats probably how I would try and do it...

So, after the original one, did you conclude your PM was correct and you do have a significant imbalance?

There were some good posts in the other thread - like from Alex, that spoke to the imbalance issue (as opposed to PM issue).

Surely as a vegan that phrase is offensive to use
