2018 numbers - Swing ya d1ck time

Recommended Posts

I swam twice...

Bike 9548

Run 975

Pretty good year for someone not training for anything. I reckon 2019 will be even better :)

Swim 4.3 km - yes. 4.3 k's

Bike 14,250 km

Run 1,540 km

Plenty of places to ride and run in India, but swimming is tough.

1 x OD race, 1 x Half Marathon, 1 x Cycle race

Swim: 521kms
Bike: 0kms (first year without a ride in I don't know how long)
Run: 487kms.. a couple of interruptions with calf seizures, but happy to be back doing it after an intermittent couple of years.

Hmmm

16 races 🤔

which required lots of swimming, not quite enough cycling and way too little on the run front.

goal for this year is maybe not quiet as many races and more balance on the swim bike run front with a bit more strength thrown in

Because there is more than one  set of numbers (which is what the OP asked for).  People remember where they came and how they improved (or not).  Accumulated totals tell  you little.

You could simplify it and say 'On a scale of 1-10, how happy overall were you with your racing and training year? That's a number that has meaning.

This is wisdom

Swim - 131.5km

Bike - 15,073km  (177,835m altitude climbed)

Run -  1,316km

IM NZ and IM Mont-Tremblant were my only 2 races in 2018..

2019 : I'd like to complete the 7 peaks again after not having ridden Hotham, Falls and Buffalo for a while.

A little lower than previous although a lot more than <2012. My current stats go back to 2006 (I lost my stats prior to that when the old PC blew up).:-

Swim: 102 kms

Ride:  3390 kms

Run:  440 kms

Gym: 23 hours

A good time until about July then lost mojo. We'll see how this year pans out.

Attitude is the key.

2018 was pretty good except for 2 little interruptions. For some reason I lost all motivation in august and fell off my bike in December. Other than those 2 months I've been consistently active and managed to stay reasonably fit which for me is the point of all this.

Swim 2018 - 88.7km (2017 - 69.3)

Cycle - 3,877km (2017 - 5,802)

Run - 827.5km (2017 - 387.2)

Total hours - 237 (2017 - 255)

Is there a way to just download the strava club leaderboard?

Mel Urrie would be on the top of that I'd think

Nope, a desk jockey that loves being outside.  Was quite surprised by the number, however I did very little running / swimming for the year .  The distance add up when you do a training session and have to ride out there, then go onto work afterwards, then you have to ride home so you have the bike for the next day, so the miles add up quickly.

My coach has asked me to minimise the junk miles, so will try to reduce those where I can.  I'm not a fan of the trainer (albeit I know how good they are and I film rides for Fulgaz), but would prefer to be out in the elements unless its bucketing done.
