Garmin 935 $399 at rebel - good value?

Recommended Posts

If you open water swim, it’s not nearly as good as the 920xt.

The 920xt never missed a beat open water.  But the 935 recorded a measured 750mtr swim as 100 metres.

Pits the only fault I’ve noticed in the last month.

What do you expect when you only dog paddle, your hands don't get out of the water enough for the GPS to register properly....

Hmmm... as another data point mine seems closer to "marked distances" than my 920 was...

Google is your friend on that one. There is 3 or 4 different reset options

Can you borrow a different charger / cable, to ensure that it is a watch problem and not a charging problem?

I must say, Rebel impressed me also. I have a Vivomove as my work watch and I was riding to work one day and saw some fog under the glass. I got off the bike and took a photo of it, glad I did as by the time I got to work, it was gone. Took it to Rebel the next day, showed them the photo and they swapped it without any further question.

So rebel sport have 20% off store wide today. Does anyone know of a store selling the forerunner 935 for less than rebel??

Check the places that price match in their policy

They'll be on special at rebel real soon... I can do better than 20% of RRP if you're really wanting one. If not, wait for a week or two ;)

I'm interested - how much can you do it for and when would it be available?

I need to pick up a new watch band for my 935. Neither Rebel or JBHiFi stock them.

My options?

Either direct from Garmin or somewhere like highly tunes athletes for genuine ones.  Or eBay and Amazon for none genuine.  I have a non genuine one with quick release on my old F3.  It works

OK. I was trying avoid an online shop for something as piss ant as a watch band. I was hoping to simply drop into a convenient store sometime ...

I think the Garmin watches are now made to fit generic watch band sizes.  So you may be able to find one somewhere that will do the job.  But I'd be shocked of someone has a genuine one in stock.  Online really is the better option.

I’m travelling a lot for work and the chances are it will be delivered when I’m not home and returned to sender. I’ll go online and have delivered to work, BUT i was hoping to just pick one up before my next 2-3 weeks on the road.

The 935s are at a juicy price, not sure if they are worth it now with the 945s

The 945 is almost twice the price and not sure that is worth it for music, pay and a bit of extra battery...

my 935 is more than enough watch for me...

I used a fenix 5 and Komoot when I was in Radelaide visiting my Dad this year.

Lost as ****.

The end. 😂😂

It was through the Adelaide hills from Hawthorndene to Coremantal(sp)

Bloody thing took me through this freaky pine forest and a ****ing orchard 😳😳😳🤔🤷‍♂️

Im fairly hopeless without my mate, she handles all the navigation  whilst my job is to deal with any toad, snakes and spiders.
