2021 and 2022 Worlds - venues announced

Recommended Posts

Bermuda 2021 and Abu Dhabi 2022

Very nice, especially if the 2022 course includes a bit of Yas Marina

Cheers for that IJ ....so when would be my 1st opportunity to race in the 60 - 64 category if I turn 60 in Aug 2022?

Might be my retirement gift to myself.

Abu Dhabi could be it, if they take your age as at either race day or December '22

My better 3/4 is pretty keen for Bermuda

Dang. None of those are far enough from the UK for me to have a shot at qualifying.

I'm almost Maltese (offically). I think I just need to know what triathlon is to go to a world champs now :P:lol:

Who plans 4 years ahead?? I've no idea where I'll be.

Abu Dhabi in September phew...be ready for 35 degrees and 90% humidity at 7:00am with a salty soup temperature of around 30 degrees. It certainly won't be a wetsuit swim. Great if you've spent August training in Thailand or Malaysia - not so good coming out of Oz.

News flash: stand by for a dry land swim (there might be waves), bus ride instead of a bike leg ( in case any one falls off) and a sit in the shade instead of a run (so as to avoid any ankle sprains or calf cramps), Actually lets just all sit home and watch the “pro” event on telly then sink a could one and reminisce about how we could have been athletes if only.......

sorry, do I sound pissed with the ITU at the moment?
