Frodo out?

Recommended Posts

Just read on Twitter Frodo has a stress fracture in his hip and is out of Kona. Wide open now if it’s true

I think it just got a lot more Interesting!

Frodo was the guy who could dominate in all legs, now it opens it up more to the strong swimmer, cyclists and runners all doing their own things...

Absolutely.

Seb and sanders will be happy.

I’ve been pretty uninspired by Lange this year..

If he wins does he go straight back to short course and chase the Olympic dream?

It's his sacrum. What a bummer. Can be a bit slow.

It's an injury you only really see in skinny distance runners...

I had one in the sacrum. Not sure I fit that mold though. Interested to know how it went for him. Mine literally went from fine/0 pain ever to feeling like I really really badly pinched a nerve in my ass/back about 23k into a 26k long run

Come stand next to me mate. I make pretty much everyone except Roxii and Tyno look skinny around these parts :P

So will we see him next year just tick the box at an IM and only race hard at Kona?  He must surely want that benchmark of at least 3 Kona?

Not worth tuning in to the race this year. Save your download limit for something worthwhile.

Never good to hear when an athlete gets injured but you've all forgotten how it panned out at Kona 2017. There is rarely a 'sure thing' at Kona.

In hindsight 2017 was predictable.

Lange came second in 2016. Wins in 2017.

Now if Lange came 29th in 2016 and then won in 2017 it would have been a shock.

The old top 5 the previous year has been a predictability correct 83% of the time.

Man he is RAIL thin as well, some of the shots of him training on social media looks like a skeleton!

Injury is also common in Fast bowlers who don't roll through the crease, instead land and lean through......... apparently Jan bowls a nasty BOUNCER.

All jokes aside, hate seeing any athlete cut down by injury. Heel well and fast.

Tim Reed for top 5.
