*Apologies if you have money flow issues.

I'm in the blessed position that that isn't an issue at the moment. Realise how lucky I am! :)

Oh how nice it is to not have all these extra worries ;) I've been on a per metre exactly once (probably twice but the second for he didn't point anything out) during a bike fit years ago and my right leg output was consistently 10% higher than my left.  To even out up I had to feel like I was almost doing nothing with my right!  Thank god I didn't have them and was focusing on that all the time..... would do my head in.  Now I know it's at least the exact opposite, it but even worse.  But I don't need a machine to tell me how shit I am, we all know.

I see your point. It's over complicating the fact that I know I have a sore ankle... LOL 🤣🤣🤣

But if my sore ankle isn't on Strava it isn't there 😂😂😂😂😂👍

I don't save I buy, money flows mainly out. I'm going to get off the trainer for a while ride the hard bunches, do crits. While I agree the tech is clearly better the more you spend.

I'm a bit over gaslighting behaviour from experts, coaches tech heads where the only answer is what ever suits their commercial position or need to be worshipped.

If you went back 25 years you probably would have had serious advantage with a singe sided pedal PM.

Insert : 1989 SRM Lemond (best to do the gaslighting yourself)

An SRM power meter, even Lemond's SRM from the late 1980s, measures the power from both crank arms / legs.

I seek none of the above.

I only provide a reality check and my position has always been that choice of power meter should be based on what it is you wish to use the data for.

For some applications of data a unilateral power meter will suffice. I simply make the point that those are also the sort of applications that can be performed reasonably well without a power meter.

Just found a double sided set for $972... I think that might be a deal maker...

As a Trannie he'll do you a deal I'm sure :) To be honest he was a bit more pricey than the cheapest I found but it's a better product and it comes from a source I trust! Also, for a small difference in the big scheme of things I'd rather buy through a mate.

I help out where I can especially when I think someone adds to the wider community via way of their personality and actions. It might only be a few bucks here and there or chasing something someone really wants (bloody cranky :P) but it all helps.

so does willie sell stuff on the cheap?

Not really, no. But I'm also not in this to make millions and help out where I can. In fact I give 1.5% of all sales to charities and 12.5% back to club members and 2.5% to their club if they use their club code. Our couching group/club is set up as a not for profit. All profit is donated locally to initiatives to help those less fortunate (not only running, we recently helped out a local art thingy etc). I love what I'm doing now and every little bit of my time and/or money helps.

I'll do my best to help but wont hold it against you if you need to save a few bucks with the big playas. I cant compete with them (yet :) )

They would want to be pretty slick considering they’ll be almost double the price of everything else. Unfortunately I think SRM is the next Computrainer of the cycling world, there’s just too much competition now that is just as good and does the same job for a lot less money.

I'm still yet to see peak pedal force - pedal velocity data from other power meters that is physiologically plausible. It's a shame this is never properly tested in power meter tests.

Given that SRM power meters usually are the most expensive by far, I don't know how competitive their pedal based ones will be 😕
