My FTP is 272, but rarely able to put up numbers like yours.

 

60 minute run for me this morning. It was cold again!

What tends to happen is that I jump on with intentions of a steady two hour ride, get bored after 10 mins and figure if I pedal harder, I'll get off it earlier. :lol:

Unless it's a very hard workout, I do everything in the TT position ( sometimes the longer climbs are a mix and Innsbruck is nearly all on the bars).

I'm scheduling an FTP test tonight, will be interesting to see what's what at the end of the season.

No running for me at the moment :crybaby:

An hour of hills on Zwift this morning and ran intervals this afternoon. 

Have done more exercise this week than I have all year!

Haven’t logged on to the training thread for a while but this week I swam twice once in the surf while my eldest surfed and one in the pool while my other two did swim lessons 

pool set was 20 x50 on the minute

90kms with 1,500 very. Strength is returning but I made the mistake of weighing myself. Terrifying.

Really need to return to consistency with my diet and training. Only 1 ride and 1 run during the week

Rest day yesterday.

Today, 1200m swim: warm up, 25 fast/25 slow, cool down.

No "training" today, but I started in the garden at 4:45, and other than sitting on the ride-on for 90 minutes, and in the car for an hour getting a couple loads of mulch, spent the next 13 hours physically active in the yard.

I currently feel like I used to after a 6 hour ride.

Woke up this morning and was soooo glad I'd told my brother I'd meet him at the dam at 5:30. I felt like absolut shit. Every muscle in my body ached, and I think I was aching a few of other people's as well. I got there, and 500m into it I felt better than any other swim I'd done lately. Probably cause I was a bit slower, but I my shoulder was about the only thing that wasn't hurting. I did the full small loop, so 1.6km today.

I got home and took the dog for a walk, and barely made it up the last hill. I'm still shattered from yesterday.

But 2 loads of mulch later, I'm about to start with the Victa around the house lawn. I'll deserve those beers tonight.

4w better than my ftp prior to IM in 2014 when I was well trained and quite fit.

50km social spin, still with 900m+ very. Won the breakfast sprint to the top of the Pony Club, made my banana bread extra tasty

32km @ 4.57 pace. Felt hot though and it was only 25C... has me worried for race day..

After owning this cycling top since 2011, I decided it could be worn as i managed to do a half distance race on the weekend and i was worthy to break it out. 

Ride 40k this morning on bloody sore legs.

Second last long ride before race day. 120ks.

Was almost quite a bit shorter after I narrowly missed running over the tail end of a 1.2-1.5m effing snake crossing the path! Scared the ****ING SHIT out of me! I was hyperventilating and wanted nothing more in the world than to turn around and go home.

And, who goes to the supermarket the day before long ride day and doesn't think to buy ice cream? An idiot, that's who.

And finally, for Perth peeps, the long diversion around the work near Roe Hwy has not taken effect yet. It looks ready to go, but it was still only the short diversion this morning.

I’m on family holidays on the south coast of NSW, so just dropped the intensity back a bit. Did a 45k ride of the hills section of the old Batemans Bay course on Sunday, 30k TT yesterday. 5k tempo run this morning and a 1k ocean swim - one of the most enjoyable swims I’ve done. Reminded me of the Noosa swim last year without the stingers and 5000 other people trying to go over the top of me!😂

Long run tomorrow, as it’s looking like rain so the family will be sleeping in watching movies anyway😁

I was wondering about the diversion.

First swim in a while. Felt weird. Would have been smashing it on a proper night's sleep.

Grimseys have lunchtime squads everyday at 12-1 at QUT pool, you should try and do that occasionally...
