I did 5km run then about 500m of swimming at Enoggera.

When did you say you're starting swim squad?

The Mrs got blown off her bike today & went within an inch of going over a 10m embankment.

I'm in trouble as I just told her to stay down on the deck till I could fire up the GoPro as it will make a good story for our holiday vid.

We've since heard of another cyclist who has ridden all over the world and pulled the pin on the Otago Rail Trail phoning for the sag wagon as she was so scared of the wind. Soft. The Mrs got back on and battled on, though we both had to get off and walk the bikes several times over one 10km section. We caught up with a group of 60-somethings who had to do similar. One woman told us she was walking her bike and the gusts were so strong, the wheels just left the ground with her hanging onto the bars and seat.

And I'm in trouble again for not making enough sympathetic noises about the Mrs left hand which no longer works so well.

But she'll be right.

Just do all the house work for a week or two. She'll forgive you.

90km bike and a 4km run

Totals from Friday arvo to mid morning today are 700m short of a half Ironman. Cumulative time of 6:09 which is a 50min Pb. Pretty happy about being able to do something everyday and back it up.

Still not at IP levels but that's crazy shit

Are we supposed to comparing ourselves to IP?!

So, is this thread going to turn into the "How was your run today?" thread on coolrunning? If so, I like it! :-)

This morning a paceline ride on the V8 track around Sydney Olympic park with LACC (Lidcombe and Auburn Cycling Club). 43km in total. This evening, a 30min strength session.

Today - Nothing.

Tomorrow - Nothing (or maybe a 4km ride beside my son running)

I hate it when "stuff" gets in the way of exercise.

At least Pete you are getting leaner than you have previously. Nothing like a bit of a run-up though (12 -14 months).

For me, I got out early so Greenpeace wasn't around. A leisurely slow 2 hour ride early this morning (gotta love working from home once a week) then planning a swim tonight. I think I may crack 8 hours of training this week. 1st time since May this year.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Cranky, I've been doing 1 squad a week for the last 4 weeks, except last night when I used the rain as an excuse.

After no swimming for a looong time, it's been useful.

Rode to Cam's this morning for a Trainer session, then a short run off.

Rode home this arvo, which was roasting hot and windy., but was slightly better than Wednesday when I got hailed on.

It was raining? Jeez! You wouldn't want to get wet swimming! ;-)

13km run this morning including a 5K tempo run, 2.5km swim this evening...

Thanks FB - only needed a short time off this time as it wasn't fractured - just a n warning. I've even 'raced'. Today's fast 5 has triggered symptoms though. Intervals fine, distance fine, tempo not so fine. Interesting. Sorry for thread derailment.

As you were...

45min spin

2.2km swim

1.5hrs approx for the day. Looking at another 13hr week.

You wont need "fat" at the end soon....

My just turned 9 son surprised me during the week by asking to do parkrun with me this morning. Registered him and he was up early keen to go, did the 5kms fairly easy with me running next to him at consistent 7min pace. Not bad for his first real run with no training

Don't think he'll be joining me on the trails around Arthur's seat tomorrow morning

Pete and ironman in the same sentence. Never thought we'd see that again.

Depends on the rain, been in pools where they have closed them due to electrical storms.

Yeah but then he would've said "storm"

Nothing again today, and likely tomorrow.

Feeling like the pits, but getting heaps done here, so that's the main thing.

LFR (long fastForMe ride) 72km, this morning with the cycling club. Happy to be 3rd up the 3km hill today. Ave of 28.9km/hr for the whole ride which I think is the fastest I've done it. Very humid, but not too hot. Thoroughly enjoyed it

About 1 3/4 river loops this morning, first full loop with my son, then half a loop by myself then the remainder with my daughter.

Thursday arvo.

Storm was over, but the rain started again at my place, so I took the soft option.

Did a spin with the Beginners crew this morning and 3 x 1 km off the bike at UQ.

1 week until race day.

Saw Foz heading out to run his riverloop with the cyco mob.
