The local ultra scene still has a lot of that, though there certainly has been a few coaches specialising in the long stuff cropping up in recent years. Some very good ones too. I was watching a few videos and came across a guy called Timothy Olsen that operates a trail running camp in Boulder. I thought the camp looked good but my short haired mate informed that neither him, not I have enough hair to attend.

Ex-Hasbeen 6,471 Report post Posted July 9, 2018 Well, I just spent some time perusing Ashley's Insta page as preparation for next month's challenge. And you were complaining about 20 seconds of your life you won't get back Oldschool. Hah. She's just finished a 2 week ride (about 90 mile/day) between a couple of states to raise money for something. Did you know she has 3 boys & 7 businesses?

Yeah ExH and Tyno you could let her know that there are some skeptical people who doubt she'll do the full distance each day and whilst you're big fans it would be great if she wore a Garmin and posted the data just to keep the haters quiet.
Ex-Hasbeen 6,471 Report post Posted July 10, 2018 Garmin files mean squat. Is it really her wearing it, or has she passed it to a mate? Is she in the RV with the garmin on the dash? Is she on the bike instead of running? I noticed in the recent ride, she was doing gym sessions each morning. I wonder if she'll try to do that this time as well? If so, it'll make this that much harder. If not, she'll lose a lot of the body that she's built over these years.

Tyno 1,943 Report post Posted July 18, 2018 Young Ashley has put a proposed schedule up. I know she said she plans to sleep in the RV, but I can see a couple of 5+ hour transfers. It has been noted on ST, she proposes going to a few hot as balls places in hot as balls time of year. She's also looking for an RV driver, preferably with RV.
