Awesome stuff @FFF1077

It's that dust storm that went through during the week. Still dusty out here too.

Bloody brilliant work Sam.

You are an Ironman!

I'll bet 6 months ago that would have been the last thing he'd have been expecting to hear today.

Well done RBR and to all the racer out there. Tough day for me, for me it started well 1:07 swim vs 1:17 at Cairns. Pushed the bike too hard and imploded, more than 15m slower on the 2nd lap. The run lasted 18km then I ran walked with a mate who was also sufferring. 10:35 for a bad day isn't too shabby but obviously not the sub 10 result I was hoping for. Good to see the worst draft cheat in my AG only finished 15th, it was a shocking display of sportsmanship, I hope I don't sound to bitter bit I call it as I see it.

Ain't nobody that can take that title off him now!

There's something really nice about seeing good things happen to good people!

Well done mate!

I think I know the guy you’re talking about. He’s in my club!

Picachu?

I laughed my arse off at that.

Great work KieranR

**** you looked solid during the bike. And thanks for wording up Pete Murray about stuff, you didn't have to. Forever grateful. Ivy was beside herself.

Massive thanks again to Stikman. Basically babied me all day, forever grateful.

Hope Katz gets home. She was in good spirits when I saw her.

RBR, mate thanks. I think I sobbed and snotted on you at the end.

Thanks very much to MJK for the hard love and then the pep talk during the run.

AP, cheers for the high five. Meant a lot.

All watching - ❤️🙏

I got a message relayed from the silent adviser on the last lap, oh **** I have never gone where I went.

Just made a fat kid with freckles' dream come true.

Race report will be late... Pretty crook.

Thanks

So I'm not the only one huh... But it was well worth it!

Wish I could have been there in person, I wouldn't have been able to do the event but would have loved to watch it and meet a few more of you lovely people.  I'm really missing not being involved so much any more...

Nice medal Katz, I believe that Terenzo Bozzone & Caroline Steffen got ones that look exactly the same!

Time's irrelevant, it's the enjoyment of the journey that matters.

We stayed on first floor in Forster up a full flight of stairs, AND I had a manual car. Lucky I was too drunk for 2 days to drive. :)

Beer mile - 2:30pm after the awards ceremony outside of The Goose at the start of the jetty for an expected 2:45 start.

You know the drill.  BYO fizzy alcoholic beverages x 5 (just in case.)

OK Sam.

Was it worth it in the end? You looked like you had fun (at least up until you started spewing).

And what was Mooj's reaction after it all?

At Port this year (my first Ironman) I ended up on the 4th floor of a stair access only apartment. With 2 kids worth of gear in addition to tri stuff.  I have never hated stair more in my life than that Monday morning.

But he worst part - I have just realised I booked the same accommodation for next year.....

It soon wears off, I've been living here 18 months and well over the place. You're keen going to political rally. Politicians here are worse than Australia and being in the wrong place at the wrong time, can mean death or disability.

Oh I only went to the rally to see the atmosphere. I have no idea of who is who or what they stand for but they know how to work up a crowd.

And I'm sure just like anywhere the experience as a visitor is very different. The longest I've spent here is 2 months in Jaipur which I loved but I was still in "visitor" mode.
