Live updates from your Instagram account?

There is a tracking app that i thought was not IM branded but i can't seem to find it now.. otherwise the apps havetrackers but they're all based on the reliability of mats etc..

I think a combination of ironman live.com & transitions.org.au will be the best bet. There will be plenty of discussion on here and people on course supporting you.

there was one that was really good, probably the one you're thinking of, mobile ironman tracker or something, it used to be free then it went to a subscription or whatever so I deleted it.

Ironman app and/or website.

If you have a newer Garmin and plan on carrying a mobile phone you could use Garmin LiveTrack. I would not advise carrying a mobile phone.

Yeah I reckon I will get them to check the race day thread here and the IM tracker. That'll do.

Cheers

I would suggest this site will have it all over IM Tracker. Not only will there be updates on here from the tracker, but there will no doubt be heaps of updates from around the course. I dare say that as we get to the serious part of the day, you'll be giving the occasional commentary to some of the Trannies out on course with videos feeding directly to this site.

I wish I could get over there & be one of those supporting you out on course.

Me too but not possible for me to be there. I'll be on here though like we were when Cranky was at Port to KQ

Serious question

Would I get Dqed for running along doing a Facebook live?

If you were holding the phone, yes (if they saw you), but if you just did a quick minute or 2 with someone running beside you I reckon you'd get away with it.

I couldn't see them DQing you if Mooj was running beside you holding a phone, but then I've heard the language you use, and she might not appreciate it. :)

Yeah we will track you closely.

Just start the official thread the night before the race and send them the link to that thread only.

Not bad. How's your knee?

Keeping an eye on the weather, even though I know the long range forecasts are completely inaccurate 😁

I am going to that part of the world on Thursday for a week driving around in a campervan!  Will be dropping into Busso.  Never been there before.

Fly in Friday morning and leave on the Monday red-eye.

Taking this Fri and Mon off work to finish my build. Training has gone alright, if it's not stupid hot I am in good enough form to go sub 10.

Shit house 😂😂😂😂✌️

@zedI saw a forecast for a heavy rain event the week before and after the race. I wouldn't mind that as one of the most fun sessions I did was in driving rain and wind.

But **** the weather.

I'm there for one reason.

rain would be nice :)

We had rain then hail in South Africa, although I was done by the time the hail arrived.

I remember a GC Triathlon at Currumbin one year where you couldn't look up because the rain was that hard it hurt your face. Awesome race. Everyone laughed at me when I set out my sunnies in transition area for the ride. I laughed back when I was the only one that could open my eyes more than a squint for most of the bike.

Maaaaate, I'm sure cans of extra fizzy lemonade will be fine..

Everyone knows a batshit can of Sprite is more fizzy than even a mid strength beer!  And it's the fizz that counts

All good here, I Swam a bit quicker than I plan too in busso, the ride was cruisey, the wind was a pain in the arse but that’s part of life up here, and the run was even more cruisey, pulled up really well today.  I’m really happy with how I’ve been training, my coach is awesome, he’s just concerned I shaved the mo and may have lost a bit of mojo! But I’ve explained it was just shaved to make me a legit movember participant! It’s coming back

Yeah I hate crocs. Went to school in Darwin. Not a fan.

Yeah what's the deal with the Whitsundays. Can't be doing much for tourism. Is it Bull sharks?

Although 2.4l of choccy milk would be interesting while running, I think the key for a good unsettling and spew potential is the bubbles.

I reckon we'd be very unlucky to get another stinker in Busso this year. I'm predicting high 20s max!

I haven't heard much on this one, but the first two they say were Tigers. This one happened in the same spot.

On this topic I am an expert.

It's almost too easy.

Maybe a 600ml Choc milk and half a crumbed sausage per repeat?

Seems fair..?

Or are you beer drinkers too scared.... 😉😎
