Luke has been very quick to come out in defence of his wife.

It was screenshotted by a female pro who I have never heard of. Caroline Gregory.

Interesting that she's demanding the benefit of the doubt, but won't afford others the same luxury...

Yeah noshirtsteve is on the money.

I think it would be better for her if she stopped playing the victim card, stopped mentioning her drug ban and moved on. I wonder if she was young, male with no kids, would the overwhelming support be the same?

Noshirtsteve is well known in the Sunny Coast. And the names rings true, rarely in a shirt.

Jesus she's really laying it on thick on Instagram... being banned for doping is probably a blessing in disguise for her.

Regardless of whether she is guilty purposefully or accidentally she has made a mistake somewhere along the line.  She has had to come to terms with that and deal with it.

People in all walks of life get busted doing the wrong thing at work all the time.  They also have to deal with those consequences.

I cant imagine being told I couldn't do something I was passionate about and loved for 2 years, or what I would say and do at the time of being told about it.

Were all humans we all make mistakes.  If you dont like her dont pay attention.  She wont hurt you I promise.

Agree, it would be easier for her to sook & fade away from the sport. I found it interesting the number of other pro women lending her support & words of encouragement.

Just Curious, have any spoken out against her or are they all to scared too? surely there would be some who are not keen on having a convicted drug cheat back in the game?

Personally, I feel as though she has now completed her sentence for the violation and according to the rules is allowed to race again competitively and if she so wishes to do so, then go for it.

You're right. I clapped her as she went past, I'm not a hater. And good luck to her, I hope she goes well. It's taken a lot of balls to come back the way she has.  But if her people are going to discuss her doping history I'm going to chime in. We're still talking about the likes of Ben Johnson, Marion Bailey, LA decades after they got busted, she's no different. I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing her situation as long as it doesn't become malicious or denigratiory. .

Maybe I'm missing something with old shirtless steve from sunny coast.  Just seems like something some bully from school would say? I dont like you and neither does anyone else.  All I thought reading it was what a knob and what was he trying to prove?

I wonder how many of them know and/or understand the correct circumstances of her doping bust. The story going around is she took salt tablets contaminated with Ostarine and was able to prove this, yet was still banned. Hence the reason there has been an outpouring of sympathy. Not quite true. And I suppose her situation is quite topical as another triathlete - Lucas Pozzetta has just been busted for Ostarine and is claiming the same thing, contaminated sample.

Agreed,  but personally I dont see what there is to discuss.   It was all done 2 years ago.  Digging up what someone did or didnt say over the past 3 years gets us nowhere and isnt what we should be talking about in the sport.  If that's what's most important to people then they need a new hobby.

He didn't articulate it very well, but he made a few valid points -  "U tested positive and couldn't prove innocence as u claim"

That gets swept under the carpet.

unless its AP cutting the course, walking a hill or receiving outside assistance in a race. That shit is still funny.

I don't think it helps that she keeps on bringing it up! Hence the reason Shirtlesssteve pipes up and then I pipe up! But anyway I'll move on :) It's more of a case that it interests me rather than something that irritates me.

Maybe some of them are also using something on the edge even a TUE and know it could bite them in the arse one day.

Brett, Its fine if shes done the time for the crime but she has never accepted it even though she TESTED POSITIVE.

Draw a line to any criminal that never shows any remorse for a crime, and the judge never lets them out early.

Even Lance finally admitted he was using drugs

That's the story she wants to tell.  The truth is that is her claim but multiple tests of the unopened product could find no trace of the drug.  Abit earlier another female triathlete was busted for ostarine but was able to prove contamination of salt tablets, a cynic might suggest that Beth chose to claim the same source of contamination because whether she could provide evidence or not it seems more plausible based on the other case.

Ostarine is effective in increasing muscle mass and improve endurance.  Is it a coincidence that a number of female triathletes have been busted for ostarine use in recent years but no male triathletes have?  Occam's razor?

the supplement sample would want to be independently sourced for the testing as i reckon it would be pretty easy to open the sample, contaminate it with your remaining drugs and reseal it. A quick google search on types of packaging and how they seal would explain it and failing that a slab of beer to a local packaging company or food producer with similiar equipment would solve it.

The issue doesn't lie with the taking of the drugs and serving her punishment. That's done and dusted, we have a system and rules in place for handling this. Justice has been served.

However

She was brutal in her shaming of past people being found guilty, she called for life bans, she wouldn't forgive but for some reason now she is to be held to a standard that is not her own.

Yeah it's nuts that she provided the samples. Like you said it needs to come from an independent source.

I think we can see from above she did it on instagram.

The people that are most vocal about drugs are usually the ones on them.

Just look at cycling and the guys that have been busted over the last 15 years.

Id be on drugs if I wasn't so shit. Cause not even drugs would help me.  Well maybe weight loss ones might.  For a while
