Horn's getting pummelled BTW.

Matty Koorey won his AG in the Enticer. That’s Port then Cairns. Great work mate.

Enticer done - 6:31hrs

Happy with that given the lead up in the last two weeks: I’ve been sick and am carrying a set of injuries in my right arm that basically means I’m swimming with one arm (I’ve struggled through Winterfish ...).

Queasy in both transitions - trips to the potty in both and twice on the run. Still feeling the effects of my cold I think. That said I was happy with the bike, except the wind really got up in the last 40km which blew my chances of going under 3hrs but a 3:02 spit is a BP on that course.

When I didn’t have rough guts on the run I was moving freely at about 7min/km and my moving time was just over 2:30hrs but my run split was 2:40.

BUT - all in all - I’m happy and I don’t feel smashed. However Flanman still owns me, 😂

Interesting to see the men’s pro field run by just before I finished. Terrenzo looked strong and Gomez was lurking a few seconds behind in 4th.

More later.

cheers A

About time he had an off day. He's been smoking it lately

No run for me today. No excuses, that’s all I had today against some of the best in the business. Made it to 155km on the bike before the wheels started to fall off. I’m not disappointed with the outcome, I am moving in the right direction. Time to cheer on the @claytonfett

Gomez is wearing DTs under his trisuit. That's my sophisticated input to the discussion.

30kms in the mens race and Javier Gomez is still right with Braden Currie, neither one giving anything away with 12kms left to run.

Through 16kms in the women, Teresa Adam leads by 5 minutes from Mirinda Carfrae, but the Kiwi has picked up her pace … this has some twists to play out. In behind, Lauren Brandon is at 7:45 from the leader but the mover is still Beth McKenzie in fourth although she is still around 15 mins behind the leader and her blinding sub 4min pace has eased.

Luke mcKenzie dropped out.

He's caught the DNF thing from Jacobs.

At 18.3km on the run, Mirinda Carfrae has re-asserted herself - now at 4:46 from leader Teresa Adam. Lauren Brandon is third with Beth McKenzie 6 mins behind her and closing.
