Recommended Posts

As the title says, what's everyone listening to?

Anything worthy non-tri related?

Thanks in advance

I'll be interested in this too.  Starting to listen to old tri ones while walkin' the dog, but could use some more.  Need to get some decent bluetooth buds too!

Waiting for the next series of The Infinite Monkey cage to come around.

No Such Thing as a Fish - ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

+ 1 for My Dad Wrote a Porno (that's my pool podcast)

Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast if you like comedy and are interested in comedians.

Over here in the UK, the two I always listen to are: -

The Kickabout .... Johnny Vaughan and The Woodsman doing whatever they can do to not talk about sport!

The Elis and John Podcast .... two blokes talking shite on a Saturday afternoon. Very, very clever...

What is it with Podcasters and whiney voices. I am struggling through a few of these. The guests are hit and miss a bit, but Herring is painful.

Yeah I have the ABC on at work so hear them every day.

Judging by the interview from the above podcast with Doug Anthony Allstars, I think Fidler is better off doing conversations.

I love him! But he is a bit like marmite.

A couple of the best ones to listen to would be:

152 - Armando Iannuci

149 - Ed Byrne

127 - Dawn French

114 - Tim Minchin

94 - David Mitchel

90 - Eddie Izzard

88 - John Finnemore

79 - Al Murray

18 - Stephen Fry

That would be my top 9 and I've listened to them all!

I am 6 episodes into My Dad wrote a Porno.  Very good. Enjoying the chuckle.

I listen to it in the pool and have almost drowned on several occasions due to uncontrollable laughing!

Finally got onto this pod, very, very good stuff. The best bit about finding them late is that there are hundreds to catch up on.

I did all of S***Town (from Serial) on the trip up and back to Port. very good stuff.

New weird one... All Killa No Filla.

Two British comedians talking about serial killers... absolutely fascinating and quite funny (without being weird).

Just a tip, don't give somebody you've just met a lift home from a mate's birthday with that playing in the car without an explanation... she refused to tell me where to drop her off exactly and just said "Here's fine" in the middle of nowhere... it was only later I realised that jumping into a middle of a podcast about Shipman isn't exactly normal.

I am now 300 odd episodes into The Dollop, an American history podcast performed by 2 comedians.

Have done several tours of Australia and regularly get guests to their live shows, including Will Anderson frequently.  Have not listened to any other podcast since I got onto these and about to start episode 302!!!

I went - it was good! I think Anna drank at least three glasses of wine while on stage. I'm glad they did about 45 minutes of other stuff besides the podcast - made it a bit better value.

A couple more new discoveries to add to the list:

This Paranormal Life - Two Irish lads ripping apart "paranormal" activity. Funny and interesting!

The Beef and Dairy Network - This starts to get into the seriously surreal so only listen if you like weird comedy. It's a parody podcast purporting to be about the beef and dairy industry in the UK. Weird but funny!

Page 94, The Private Eye Podcast - New series just started.
