I think it would have been worse if he was allowed to coast to merge with a strong 5, and then pick off the others, one by one.  Just the dumb luck of the blind buff draw that he didn't get a real mix up of the tribes a bit better.  Maybe putting a few more idols in play would have mixed it up better without the need to change the tribes

The producers have already put Lachie together with Henry - both of whom have had 'super alliances' fall apart. Why not let that play out - I.e. Let see whether they could build something together. There was also the whole crazy Luke factor at play and then there is Ziggy with her super idol - a strong player as an individual who had made it pretty clear she was biding her home before making a move on AK to break his alliance at a time of her choosing. Why kill AK now when all of that was still to play out?

I still maintain that that breaking up the tribes - even by the random selection method, only had one purpose - to kill the only player who still had his shit together. It was just a pathetic 'Australian' tall poppy syndrome brain fart by the producers. Frack them ...

AK got screwed.  I didn't like him but he played the game awesome.  Given at the start he was nearly gone then and fought back.

I like Lachie but think one of the girls will win in the end.

Shit just looked and the bookies obviously know something. Odette as favorite?

I would have thought Ziggy then Tara and then Lachie.

Ziggy is a monster! Once the merge happens, she's one of those people you see winning every single bloody challenge right to the finale.

Jericho had great technique for that challenge - straight back and arms. Ziggies postion was awful, but she won on pure strength and determination. Challenges like that favour women athletes and wirery guys like Jericho. No surprise to see monsters like Lachie, Henry and Luke bow out early. I think we are going to see a lot of individual challenges that similarly favour Ziggy - just like last year when the athletic girls dominated.

I dunno how Henry and Lachie are going to wrinkle out Ziggy - she has that double immunity idol and is likely to win a lot of immunity challenges. I can see Ziggy using those to drive her alliance all the way to the final 4 or 5 ...

I don't know, he's a tough little bugger but Jericho doesn't seem street smart enough to make it all the way. He seems a little gullible.

Tara, has survived well but still can't see her that high up.

But then again, how often have the obvious choices gotten across the line?

Interesting that the 2 with shortest odds are from the tribe without the numbers going into the merge, next 4 are all the ones with their names being thrown around as "need to go asap" in conversations around camp

Luke and henry are both farked going on the current edit.

But we don't see everything.

Ziggy is my guess. Wouldn't bet on it. Ha.

Tara winning would make as much sense at Natasha Griggs being appointed Administrator of the Cocos Islands. ... oh wait ...

That was a cool episode! Tessa has shown heart in challenges before and she knew she had to win today. And she has fought her arse off to stay there when she was nearly gone early on.

Best episode of the season so far.

Other than willfully killing off AK I think the producers have done an awesome job of making sure that super alliances don't form in this game. I still don't think the factions are settled and I predict some more shifting sands too come. Hoping that either Tessa or Ziggy wins.

Wasn't Sarah pissed Tessa didn't pick her! That was a serious death stare. I love how Luke thinks that was all him..... can't wait for him to come undone. I can hardly understand what he's saying most of the time. And isn't Jericho the most gullible clueless dude there...

Would hate to be up against Jericho in the final 3 though, he does have a bit of a silver tongue and has shown loyalty to alot of the current or soon to be jury members.  Ziggy should have a target on her back over the super idol at some stage, will come down to how she weathers this until someone else does something stupid or she picks the right time to play the other half of the idol.  Textbook lesson on how to blindside last night though, fantastic

I actually expected Ziggy to have done better in the last two trials.

Didn't Sarah end up saying that she was faking how upset she was as part of a ploy to lure Henry and Lachie while Tessa went to work on Luke and Michelle? She did come on board with the plan on the basis of a 5 second conversation and then she went to work on Jericho to bring him on board. So it seems plausible, but on the other hand - I also think that it was a bit of post facto rationalisation on her behalf - she was probably starving and without the model cocaine diet to suppress the hunger pains was doing it tough ...

I totally agree.

I have to say I am still loving Luke.  The vote when he wrote one name and said another and then pretending to make his nose grow was hilarious.

And him eating all the food.

His day will come, but I am loving him.

Yep, it's been in news articles the last few days (though not the serial killer bit).  Didn't rock one of sarah's bikini's though.  Henry didn't seem too happy with the vote last night.  I missed most of the episode but I thought Ziggy was dead and really blew it the day before playing her immunity idol.  Clearly I was way wrong!

Nah but 3 hours a week of one show is enough.

Did anyone notice, Luke keeps wearing the clothes of people who have been voted off?

According to the inter web, it's a sign of a serial killer.

I never noticed but I love it.

If I was on the show I would be throwing people's clothes away or at least put stuff in other people's bags to frame people.

The smallest issues set people off.

Just need to delflect

Winning the money for me wouldn't be my goal. Lasting 6 weeks to lose weight would be mine.

After plan A - get rid of Lachie was not viable and plan B - vote for Michelle fell through I thought that Luke, Jericho and Ziggy didn't scramble enough for a plan C. Their idea - keep the physically strong players engaged until Lachie loses an individual immunity challenge was sound. It was a bit like a game of fiddle sticks. Voting for Michelle didn't suit Pete or Lachie. Tara couldn't afford to stop doing what Lachie said until she could actually take him out. So the obvious play was to take out Tara. That should have satisfied everybody - even Lachie if someone let it known that Tara was gunning for him ...

Not necessarily the 4 I would have picked.  To say that the 4 are just 'hanger ons' might be a bit rough, cause they are the ones left.  But how often do you see the 4 made up of some of the weaker competitors?  Jericho has always come across as about as intelligent as a "sack full of rocks" (my wife used that term after a christian called her that on twitter) but he seems to think he's running things.  I think he picked the right person to eliminate last night.  Tara should have been gone a long time ago, and we kinda think she's played the best to still be there.  Always seemed like there've been people who wanted her gone but she's still there.  I honestly thought there would have been a ziggy/lochy/luke/henry left at the end, but they've done well to get rid of them.

The power players all made critical errors of judgement at the wrong time. Henry didn’t play his idol. Luke didn’t work hard enough on Ziggy to convince her that the strategy of keeping all the strong individual immunity players together until at least Lachie fell was the right idea. Ziggy didn’t sniff the winds of change either and nor did Lachie re: Tara being a snake in the grass.

If anyone ever wants to know exactly how complete plonkers and flogs can get into Federal Parliament you only need to look how far Tara has gone in this game to get an insight ...

Okay so finally up to date again.

How the Fark is Tara still there?

michelle screwed it last night.  She should have said, lets vote tara shes already been voted out once.  She turned on her best mate Lockie. She can't be trusted.

But Jerry is the King.  If he makes the final 2, he will win with a landslide.

Tara will be first out tonight in the final challenge.  She's weak and soft.

Then the boys will fight it out.  I think pete could win it but Pete looks tired.

I'm backing Jerry to win this season.

If I was either of the boys I'd be taking Tara with me to the final 2. Pete would be nuts to take Jericho, and I think Jericho would beat either, but I still think he'd do better against Tara than Pete, even though Pete send more like he been carried along than Tara even.

Just saw the ad for the next season, Champions vs Contenders.

In the Champions so far; Matt Rogers, Shane Gould, Moana Hope (AFLW), Damien Thomlinson a double amputee ex special forces.

Anyone been watching this season?  I was gonna stop as soon as Damien was voted out, I really wanted to see what he could do and was gutted when he went.  But I'm kinda glad I stuck it out now.  I've loved watch Shane Gould's total enjoyment of it, and just her level of excitement at playing the game!  And the last few weeks of her and Sharn digging in has been awesome.  I can't fathom how the both of them are still there, and I don't think anyone else can either!

And it was pretty funny watching the fire challenge, and watching the 3 who do nothing not even be able to produce a spark!

I've only been watching it every now and then but I'm rooting for Shane Gould, she's awesome.  It wasn't looking good a while ago and then I didn't watch for a while, it was nice to see her still there when I turned the telly on last night - final 3

Have enjoyed this Season. So many over-confident, cocky Snoozers have gone down in flames from being blind-sided.  Gold.

For some reason I can't like either of your posts, so I'll just have to add my +1's.

3 have been voted out without using their immunity idols!  Can't believe Rogers didn't when all that funky stuff happened at council, and then can't believe Benji didn't (which suited me as I couldn't stand him) the next one after seeing what happened to Rogers.

Some serious overconfidence in this season......  Shane and Sharn have worked their arses off in every aspect and it's great to see that at least one of them will make it to the end!

Agreed. I like Matt generally, but his over-confidence was his undoing. Benji was just a knob.

How is Grubby's form? Can't believe he is still there at this stage when he is such a lazy f@!k!!

He's actually played things pretty well I think.  I noticed it a while ago.  Things haven't been going how he wanted, cept him winning immunities and I think that will get him to the end.  But you can see he's actually playing hard as he seems so gutted when things go wrong.  Tricking him into using his immunity idol last week was great.
