New Fenix 5

Recommended Posts

Yes, strava technically can't handle a multisport activity.  It's always split up any multisport activity, whether done manually or through the multisport activity within the watches.  Even splits up the transitions.  But at least they all end up on there.

good deals?

That's pretty cheap. I'd opt for the Fenix 5.

Does anyone know if the Fenix5 can autoupload like the 920XT?

Only the Fenix 5 sapphire version has wifi, out of interest the  935 is the same internal hardware as Fenix 5 with wifi included

That is odd.

I quite liked that feature on my 920, I'd be 100m from home, the watch picks up my phone and uploads run before I've stepped foot in the door!

Doesnt that happen through bluetooth? I have no idea what the wifi option is useful for on these watches?

Looks like it doesnt...

Yeah, I don't even bother with the wifi on F3. Just Bluetooth through my phone, works great and generally a minute or two after finishing my activity all my Strava mates are having a good laugh at how far back I am in the segment performance lists!

That’s Bluetooth which happens through the phone automatically is what you are referring too which all versions have.

I knew this thing was going to be small, but im very impressed with its size and how it fits neatly on my mtb (which is what it was bought for). Stem mount.

Still does everything i need, but not the visual maps or strava (which i dont). Slick. Got it for a good price from 99bikes.

Saw at Rebel today Garmin 735xt for $399 and 235 for under $250.  I thought they were both great deals but the Minister for War & Finance refused my verbal EOI.

235 for $250 is a very very good deal. I should buy a few, cheaper than I can them for through the shop :S

there's a few places around with the 735 at $450
