I just realised there are FOUR! Almost missed that. This does qualify you as a crazy cat lady - congrats :) Looks like your cats get on. All the cats in my street hate each other

The one you almost missed is my fraidy cat. She was my first foster and due to being unadoptable, I adopted her myself. She spent her first year with me pretty much locked away in her box inside a cupboard, just coming out for meals and the litter box. Now, almost two years later she will reluctantly allow me to come near her and give her a very brief pat, once and only once per day, if I am lucky.

The other three, the front two are siblings and the back boy, Max, is a relative of theirs. The girl's Dad is his grandfather.

I can see the family resemblance ;)

Fraidy cat is lucky to have you, glad she is coming out of herself a bit, and that you get a pat a day to thank your for you kindness :)

This is our Lexi Dog, been with us for 11 years now, the most loyal, but disinterested in anything other than food Labrador I’ve ever come across, hates walks, terrified of water but absolutely loves belly rubs.  Definitely not a guard dog 😂

Me have no pets, just borrow everyone else’s.  Meet Zuri, a very cute smoochy Burmese.   She comes for holidays every few months.  And then meet Bella, our complex Labrador.  We walk her a few times a week.

Last dog I had was a Jack Russell. Poor little bloke got bitten by a red belly black snake and I found him dead around the side of the house. He killed the snake as it was in the yard, but must have got bitten in the process.

That's really sad.

I used to have one that I was particularly fond of and was one of my favourites. Poor little dude had some trauma injuries which resulted in a badly kinked spine but he had the most relaxed temperament.

I've never owned a Jack Russell though.

Mine is Bambi (I didn't pick her name but I'm used to it now), a 6 month old Border Collie.

Why does she have a male name?

This is Maggie. Maggie is nuts. Maggie is obsessed with chasing balls, eating (or foraging) and swimming.

Dumb as a bucket of hammers, but I couldn’t imagine our lives without her!

She might not be nearly as dumb as you think.

If she is obsessed with food, these will be two really strong motivators for her when training. She could be well be a very trainable hound.

We had a big facebook campaign and put posters up all over the neighbourhood (my partner rode 40k the day after we found her taking the posters down). She was recognised from one of the posters and the family that saw her saw her go into the backyard of an empty house and called us. Luckily we were only 500 metres away (she was actually only 800 metres from home!) and rushed over and got her back. :)

That's one smart dog!

Taking down posters, going into empty houses and making phone calls.

:ninja:

Apologies to bring a downer to the thread but we unfortunately had to say farewell to our best walking buddy Sophie, a German Pinscher, 2 weeks ago at the age of 15yo.

First time in 38years without a dog and it’s very strange.

She's beautiful. Sorry for your loss. It's an awful thing to say goodbye to a beloved pet.

Thanks Katz, we’ll have a break for a while before looking for another one as they aren’t that common and only a few breeders.

Buddy. He’s about as affectionate as Katz one, but will hang around near us. If he wants.

^_^ Buddy appears quite cheeky and loveable. I love the blue eyes. I had one, a lynx point birman, with blue eyes. She was beautiful. Lost her year before last. She was 15.

Ah she's lovely! Being part border collie, does she need lots of exercise?

Yards heaps big so she's got heaps of space to run around and she's always into the toys...balls ropes etc on her own....plus she does get walked few times a week,  such a great pup

No gym this morning because my fur-baby was puking half the night. We thought it may have been a reaction to her yearly shots that she had yesterday, as she also vomited late in the day on her walk just a few hours after, and she'd been fine before the vet.

Then when talking to the FiL, he mentioned that he'd left some rotten meat out at his place when we were there in the morning, and she'd eaten it.

Remind me not to get old and forgetful.
