Bike fit - Melbourne east

Recommended Posts

Will be invoking n+1 at xmas and getting myself a TT bike.

I'll likely go second hand but would like to get a fit so I know what to look for.

Can anyone recommend a fitter in Melbourne east?

Cheers

Jack

How Far East are you. There are a couple of options close in to the city.

Stewart Morton is, by all accounts, excellent. Fitted many pros including Gerro.

I haven't had a fit by him, but it is definitely on the cards when my next bonus comes through.

I've seen Stuart and Jason. Stuart is much better IMO but more expensive.

How was he better Daniel?

(there is another bike-fitting God in Melbourne???)

Interesting - Jason has also fitted Gerrans.

Stuart's assessment was way more detailed than Jason's in my case.

It was a good learning experience for me.

I heard the guys at SBR are good too but no personal experience.

Cheers

Will Stuart and Jason (or others) be able to do a fit without me taking a bike in?

To use the ST terminology I'm after stack and reach so that when I make the purchase I'll have a bike that will be able to be set up optimally.

Ring them and ask.

I know Stuart works out of a few bike shops and they have those adjustable bike things that should meet your needs.

+1 for Stuart.

Had the fit a few weeks ago. Much improved comfort levels and quite an imformative process.

I also had a fit by Stuart a couple of weeks ago and would recommend. I'm a lot more comfortable and riding much better. He isn't cheap but I think it's the best money I've spent on my bike.

I mentioned to him I'm hiring a bike in the US for a race in August and he was happy to talk to the bike shop to get it set up right if necessary.
