Timely to drag this back up to the top

Predictions - get them in now:

Premiers - Going to go with the Giants

Coleman - Buddy

Brownlow - Fyfe to return to previous form (Geelong trio to steal each others votes)

Spoon - Kangaroos

Most likely coach to get the boot: Brad Scott

Cracking round, some great games

Geelong's much vaunted midfield seems to be waiting to click, no doubt there will be one game, most likely in Geelong against the Lions or a similar side, where they will tear a game apart.  If Selwood has to change his style due to umpires cracking down on ducking could be interesting

For those that missed the VFL scores, check out the Collingwood VFL win over the Carlton VFL affiliate - 201 - 76.  Don't think Carlton is going to be going anywhere soon with the performances from both teams

One of the craziest stats I've seen in sport from the Tiges vs Pies game, which was a close contest for much of the game. Metres gained by handball, Tigers +519m, Pies -7m. You'd think the Pies would have some type of Moneyball stats boffin who'd pipe up at halftime and say it might be something to work on evening out?

Should be a good last few rounds of the regular season, potential for some big games in Rd23 inc Swans vs Hawks.

Been to a few Lions games in recent months, think they have turned the corner and should be pretty good to watch in the coming years. They would be looking to pick up a hard running half bank flanker in a trade or the draft, they've got plenty of young key position talent and some decent inside mids.

AFL Good news story for a great bloke.   Alex Johnson, after 5 knee ops and 2000+ days makes his AFL return on Saturday having last played in the Swans 2012 GF.   Would love to be there for his first touch, the crowd will go off!

Saw a "Hitouts to advantage" chart today.

Basically Gawn dominating, Tiges 2nd last.

What does that say, other than 2 very different team styles and set up?

I dunno.

The Tiges/Pies handball thing I saw one guy mention the number of under pressure handballs that the Tiges can force.

The pack pressure style means you go backwards/sideways to escape, but end up putting a team mate under the pump and they have to do the same thing.

Yeah, Dan Rioli took ruck duties a few time last week, and we didn't even nominate a ruck a few times.

Gaff - 8 weeks about right?

I'm glad they didn't cop the top bloke/meant to get him in the chest stuff.

Thing is, I am sure he wasn't going for the head.  That action in no way resembled a traditional punch.  Hopefully though, it leads to all that closed fist, torso stuff going.  Not really necessary and they only throw it because they know there can be no meaningful retaliation.  Zak Jones, amongst plenty of others, throws that stuff all the time.  If it lands high it is trouble, but mostly not.

I'm kinda glad that's one of the results.

People are at least talking about the fact you can get away with little jabs to the guts/chest all day.

How do you reckon it will affect Eagle's finals chances?

Had fun watching Jack kick 10 at Metricon on Saturday arvo.

Article on AFL website says Fiorini dominated Cotchin, doesn't bother to mention Cotchin was only on the field for 53% of game time, nice easy arvo for the skipper.

Your pick for Premiers is looking a bit sick Sticky.
