Every USA president has used the office for their own agenda and as a return getting to line their pockets. Well every USA president in the last 40 years has left office with more wealth than when they started in office. And not a bit. But a lot. You cant fault trump for that. Being a liar and a scumbag, well he certainly is that.

I'm not sure anyone would have been surprised, it's very much his style and appeals to a great deal of his base no doubt. IronJimbo 995 Report post Posted October 29 Just now, Mike Del said: Disappointed? Haven’t you read it? There is acknowledgement through gritted teeth, which is pretty much all a non-Democrat could hope for from CNN The Washington Post took the 'most ridiculous headline' gong though, with "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48", leading to some decent piss-taking on twitter under the 'WaPoDeathNotices' hashtag: "Adolf Hitler, passionate community planner and dynamic public speaker, dies at 56." "Wicked Witch of the West, devoted sister, broom enthusiast, died suddenly from oversaturation, age unknown" "Ted Bundy, unconventional pickup artist, dies, shockingly, at 42" "Emperor Palpatine, austere holder of emergency powers and advocate for democracy, died after a fall." "Mao Zedong, who saved 20-45 million of his own people from having to suffer through the struggle of existence, dies at 82." "Charles Manson, famous songwriter and meditation leader, dead at 83"

Rog 1,763 Report post Posted October 29 (edited) Wow, I didn’t know this was a thread about Obama. Classic from the book of deflection. What’s next? Benghazi? Hillary Clinton? The Bidens in Ukraine? Do you really think $40m is a lot for someone of his profile to make a few years after leaving the office? 400 x 12 x 8 is already 38 million in salary so that $40 million you’re quoting is probably missing a few dollars and your implication that he is “getting paid somehow” has sort of come up empty. I’ll remind you that just his wife’s book alone sold 1.5 million copies in the first week and is one of the best selling books in history. I’ll quote one source for you Quote The former first lady's recollections, for which she received a reported advance of more than $60 million from Bertelsmann's Penguin Random House division, has sold 10 million copies since it came out in November. Rog 1,763 Report post Posted October 29 (edited) Since IJ likes to quote CNN’s “disappointment” regarding the death of an ISIS leader how about we take a look at the equivalent coverage of Bin Laden’s desth? https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2012/09/11/obama-foreign-policy-but-he-killed-bin-laden/ I’ll edit to quote some gems... Quote With the highly-touted withdrawal from Iraq, President Obama has turned Iraq into a proxy state for Iran. Waves of violence continue to plague the country – on Sunday, violence left 79 dead and 270 wounded. You know who would have been happy about all this? Bin Laden. But Obama killed him. So there. In Syria, the Islamist Awakening has spawned an Islamist rebellion. This time, they’re taking on the Iranian-sponsored Syrian government. No matter who wins, America loses. You know who else loses? Bin Laden. ‘Cuz he’s dead. Quote The American flag at the US embassy in Egypt sits in a tattered heap of ashes in Cairo and mobs have raised a flag reading, “There is no god but Allah and Mohammad is his messenger.” A few hours beforehand, the US State Department issued a letter condemning people for offending Muslims. Seriously. Quote An American diplomat’s body lies dead in Benghazi, Libya and the American embassy smolders there today. But Obama killed Bin Laden! Quote Speaking of Russia, President Obama and his administration promised to help set a “Reset” button with Russia. As it turns out, “Reset” was another word for “Surrender.” Edited October 29 by Rog
