I have wind

Recommended Posts

So does anyone else that went for a ride in Melbourne this morning.

Great conditions, except of the massive wind gusts coming at you from all points of the compass. Nearly got blown into the guard rail on a descent.

Glad I wasn't on Beach Road.

How's conditions elsewhere in the country?

Perth is perpetually windy this time of year. Always from the west with minor deviations north or south, depending on which direction I am travelling apparently.

It was insane heading up from Frankston, great coming back though sitting on 48km/h with no effort!

Windy as hell up in the Blue Mountains, well, gusty anyway. Just finished building a new TT bike last night and was looking forward to taking it out for a run today but it's too blustery to take a new bike out today.

Also quite windy in the living room courtesy of how much dairy the missus consumed with breaky.

Another cracking day in Brisbane - sunny and 26ish I think :)

QLD athletes are known to be soft. It's why we sent Ruley up there...

Absolutely perfect in Sydney this morning, did a windless spin to waterfall, the down to the pleasure grounds at Como, then back to the caravan in Sutho, the shires capital, for a coffee

Probably picked up a few Strava segments along the way without even trying

A cracker of a morning in Parra Park for the Hills duathlon. Dress rehearsal of the London kit, the first time ever it's been warm enough for me to race scantily clad. Just a teeny bit of breeze early. trinewb was resplendent in his Egypt kit.

Where'd you ride?

Rode from home to Kinglake and back. It had whiskers on it.

On the other type of wind, could not repeat my last Sunday's performance where Matty required a WW1 gas mask.

Freak,

Sounds like sending convicts from Britain to Australia.

In both cases why would they want to return?

Unfortunatleyno, some guys sat on 55km/h in the Hell Ride with a tailwind, only good for 352nd out of 8000...

Looking at the results you've slipped more than I have! :)

I have wind

Ease up on the Cabbage and Brussel Sprouts.

On the weather front it was a magnificent weekend for the Wagga Wagga Marathon & Running Festival.

Fellow Trannie 'Alex H' cleaned up with a smoking run in the 10k event yesterday. (Felt a fair gust of wind as he flew past me heading the other way!).

Did Mt Pleasant Rd, Kangaroo Ground to Pidgeon Bank Road. Home through Eltham and Viewbank with a slow climb up Burgundy road to finish off my legs.

Freak, of course I've slipped further. Much further to fall from the top. You would have to accend something before being able to actually slip.

I got a few 'fair gusts of wind' from the guy in front of me on the way back. Wasn't a pretty final 5km at all.

So it was a nice weekend except for the wind.

Not so nice now, feels like it is going to snow!
