Best kick-ass songs of all time

Recommended Posts

I had youtube running in the background yesterday while I was working. It was playing Oils on the Water, Midnight Oil's 1985 concert on Goat Island. It would have to be one of the best playlists I have ever heard, and the band was so tight, and delivered it so well. Huge envy for anybody that was actually there.

Going to see them live in Coffs in Sept.

Yup, can't beat those 80's rock & metal bands.

BTW AP wasn't a landscaper in his youth - he was a metal lead vocalist

Hey no problem, glad you liked it.  In case you didn't pick it up, the lead singer ( Bruce Dickinson) is also the pilot.

I remember getting this on DVD a long time ago and still reckon its one of the best Metallica shows, how they combine with the San Francisco orchestra is awesome, cant choose one song from this, the whole thing is great.

Doesn't have time on its side just yet, but KA tune know doubt. Moshtradamus is going to call it early and say it will go on to become one of the best.

These guys are my Acadaca, with their formulated sound, they somehow still manage to keep their sound fresh. Anyways if you're going to be a one trick pony, make sure it's a farkin good trick. John Schaffer chugging away on rhythm, in the 9 Circles of Hell -:

My FKN A hole of a best mate has been telling my google home to play "frozen" and other Disney songs.

My youtube music account is linked to my google home. Now when I'm out running or riding I'll go from Rage Against the Machine to "Let it go, let it go....."

Revenge will be sweet!!!!!!

I'm loving listening to Johnny Cash at the moment. Best thing is my daughter is also chilling on it.

Sticking with the Aussie's for another one.

Saw them more times than I can remember.

One of the first concerts I went to was the Angels, gotta love the value of that gig!

@1:40 - I'd never noticed before, but that looks like a PRS.

Likewise. Angels & Radiators were standard fair at the Mansfield. Can't think how many times I saw them there over the years.

It was the only reason to cross the river other than to head down the coast. :)

Not all time but I like the cut of these young blokes' jib. Have a listen to their album Gutful. This video will amuse those of us old enough to remember Recovery, and why the show was thus named.

I was only 10yo in '83, so a little bit before my time for gigging. First time I remember seeing 'em was mid 90's, at a gig called the "Barbed Wire Ball" at The Palace in St Kilda. On the bill that night was The Angels, Screaming Jets & The Poor. Also went on to see The Angels many more times.

I used to listen to Sparks way back. Just recently revisiting them on YouTube and they have also joined up with Franz Ferdinand and are doing concerts together as FFS.
