Ten Questions with Coach@triathlon

Recommended Posts

....You’ve got your fingers in a lot of pies

Speaking of pies...

We had this tradition on a Sunday night after a local race....

We would head down to the local 7-11 at Cronulla after a night at Northies...the most prestigious record was the pie -eating record. :D

It currently stands at 11. Held by the great Rick Pallister...probably the best swimmer the sport has seen. Welchie, Macca and MMW have all tried to reach double figures and failed.

The rules were/are;

1) Meat pies only

2) No sauce

3) No liquid (coke, fanta, juice etc to wash it down)

4) at least 2 scrutineers to make sure said pies were fully consumed without loss of any pastry flakes :lol:

Ahh... you have to love tradition :lol:

I think it is Shane, the chest cavity is not large enough for it to be me in comparison to you mate, although I did have a bog black disc and the square head sure looks like mine, gee there were a lot of opportunities for a photo of us together on the bike like that over the years tho werent there? But yeah I dont think it is me.

It's definitely Shane Johnson. Another member of the Commonwealth Games team by the way, who is still racing and doing Port Mac this year.
