maybe it just means he is starting off sensibly and not putting out 350-400 watts through town like some others might be. he still has at least 210km to come good.

Don't the very best do this for the first part of the race Ruley, then settle back to around the 280 mark?

381990[/snapback]

the best cyclist in the field doesnt

check out the splits for busso on the bike. Mitch barely rides faster than anyone up the front for the first 90km, they start to slow and he doesnt.

for example.

i think mitch went through the first 90km in 2:10:30, second 90 only slightly quicker in 2:09:30

the group i was in with shorto, vabrousek, and meade went through the first 90km in 2:12:30, second 90km in 2:25 haha.

Thanks for that Flanman. Superchick started shift at 7 so I was up early . Thought I'd check out the asylum and see how the race is going. So are the rumours that your racing next year true? Would be good to see a bit of smack talk between you, Smitty and MoM again.

M

PS. After reading this thread I've just become a Hilary Biscay fan. Love BG's legs but the other skinny chick needs a good feed of Macdonalds :D:D

Being that close to them all, what sort of time do you think Mitch could put into them by T2?

not sure about how much into mckenzie or bell but 10+ mins into the rest

low 4:30's bike time isnt out of the question. TIme gap will be bigger if its cold and windy as mitch wont suffer as much of the rest.

If you keep using a quote on top of a quote, it fills the pages quicker.

We will get to 16 pages by 9 o'clock if we all work together.

The pages are filling quicker than the IMLive updates are coming through :D:D;):D

We are currently 5 pages ahead of the same time last year. We should break the WR of 25 pages at this rate, well ahead of the red line so far!!

They should have got a group of trannies to run the IMLive site..

We would have done a better job

i know he is the best out there, and he rides a giant  , but i think 5 minutes is too big of a gap at this point, to see him win the race.

sure he can catch up, but put a big enough margin for the win??? 5 mins is a long way
