Race Wheels

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I bought a set of these wheels about 6months ago to trial. Since riding on them (1950km had to trial them before racing on em) i have had no issues whatsoever.

They are made by "Karbona" who are based out of TAIWAN. Please dont let this detur you. I had the same thought until i rode on them. I have stayed in contact with the sales rep and i have since got 3 sets to sell. These wheels are brand new in box opened only by Australian customs. The wheels are tubular 700's. Come with set of brake pads.

Make: Karbona

Model: Timespeed

Depth: 85mm

Weight: Approx 1.6kg

High Modular Carbon fiber

Shimano compatible (i can get more sets for campy if i sell these 3 shimano)

If you are interested drop me a PM.

$1000 per set. Freight at buyers expense

Hello again Scott,

Thanks for the letter.

We are using American Classic type 9-10V hub. And they are supplied by CHIN HAUR and POWERWAY.

Hope that clarifies.

Best regards,

Stacy

What sort of hubs are used in the wheels?

Thanks alot for that Scott. I'm in no hurry at the moment but a new bike is on the cards within the next year.

Could you give us a quick blurb on the advantages of having this bike? Also, what is it's weight?

Thanks again,

Jamo.

Jammo,

Im not going to sit here and preach as i do not ride one of these frames YET. 1 of those 3 frames is for me and 2 for clients. Let me just say that i have a very well known Tranny from this site waiting for 1 of those 2 frames. When i get mine and he gets his im sure we will give them a fair test run.

If you visit the site it will give you minimal info but weight for the 49cm frame is a meager 1300gm.

I refuse to mention the site or company name but someone in Oz is self branding these frames and selling the frame set for $3450.

Karbona's gear from what i have used is quality. They back there gear with warranty which says enough in my book.

Thanks again for the enquiry and let me know if i can help in anyway.

Cheers,

Scott

Just some questions.

Thinking of the NEO TT fame.

Thinking of building myself a time trial bike. Which handlebars can be used with the Neo TT frame? Was thinking of the Xena-2 T. How much would this cost? Also is there an additional freight charge (postcode 4370)?

I currently ride a 58cm Felt road bike - which I feel as though is a little too big (56cm would be better). So in the frame sizing would frame size 1 be the go for myself?

I'm thinking you should go the Neo TT Lite...

I'm thinking you should go the xena 2's as well, i'm thinkng they will set you back about 500 clams....

I'm thinking yes...

I'm thinking definitely the 'Size 1' frame....

D3ano,

The frames are on there way now with a set of Xena bars. I had sold the Frame, Fork Seatpost combo with TT bars(brake levers-90mm carbon stem-headset-spacers) but the buyer had to pull out.

I can do that package above for $2100 + post. I normally organize courier as i use them regualarly and they give me a good deal. If you wanted to organize it yoou can. I will be at Port if you wanted to save some $$$.

Karbona posted them yesterday, so give it 3 days to hit OZ then maybe 1 week through customs.

Thanks for the inquiry

Do you mean Tindal NT.

A RAAFie?????

I expect the gear to be here within the next 10days. I only expect the money when i have checked the condition of the goods and they are ready to be sent.

I will have to get a quote for the Postage................ It may be cheaper to send the gear via Greyhound bus freight. Once i receive the frames and see how well they are packaged i will decide what is the best form of transport.

So to answer the question, i wreckon about 10-15 days.

Cheers,

MUZ

P.S. I have done my stint at Tindal. 4yrs was long enough for me

thats good news i need 2 get it sent tindal, how long do have to get money
