Am aware of the clincher - but will be using a Bora with single on the front - need singles.

But i still wouldnt be going a HED disc....

ok - I'll bite, why?

It's a lenticular, carbon construction disk - reasonably light. What makes it worse than any other disk?

Some figures.

Comparison of drag of aero wheels at 30 mph/48 km/h (Zinn, 1995)

drag in pounds =AT= relative wind angle

wheel brand spokes 0o 5o 7.5o 10o 15o

Specialized Tri Spoke 3 0.57 0.54 0.48 0.45 0.36

HED J2 with Sonic Hub 24 0.30 0.31 0.34 0.37 0.35

Spinergy 8 0.20 0.23 0.27 0.28 0.21

HED disc - 0.25 0.23 0.17 0.12 -0.01

Bugger that the tables don't work -0 but the numbers support the product - so what else is the issue?

Had a chance to do the Ghibli for the right price when I picked up the Bora's

Couldn't stretch the credit card any further at the time.

However - on my bike the HED will work a treat.

What the hell do you want a HED disc for??? there a bit on the ordinary side... Only ones worse are then REN and MAVIC from what i hear (for road use, the mavic is good on the track i also hear) They dont stack up well compared to others... I just got a ZERO and must saay i am more than happy with it... Very light and awesome to ride... They go out a good price as well....

Hope it's not a Gravity Zero. If it is, let us know when the hub explodes - it wont be long.

yeah i'd go the zero disc, having raced one numerous times id recomend it as a very light and fast wheel.
