  1. Geelong 70.3

Geelong 70.3 is coming up fast - I'd like to wish my old mate Peter all the best for the weekend
  2. Just wondering who's in and if anyone has looked at accommodation options. Crackenback - Crackenback resort itself is great, but it's fairly pricey. Thredbo - Lot's of good value accommodation. Handy if you want to head to the top of Australia while you're up there. Jindabyne - Plenty of accommodation options, more to do & more eating options etc. Camping - Someone mentioned to me that camping near Crackenback is an option, but I don't know anything about it. Any ideas. Decisions, decisions... PS - I'm in for the 1500/30/10 Aus Champs X-Tri event, but there's also a 400/15/5 Sprint X-Tri and some Trail Run events for anyone that doesn't want to go the full distance. They are great events, get on it! http://tre-x.com.au/events/201516-australian-x-tri-championships/
  3. Callala Beach

7 races this weekend at Callala Beach- Miniman, Tryatri, Enticer, Enforcer, Sprint, Club, Classic. Hopefully the weather will be good for competing. FM
  4. IM Melbourne approaching

Just over a month to IM Melbourne, so who's in? Due to fortuitous circumstances I am in for IM #2. Training has been ok, weight is on a par with last year which is a good indicator: Swim - Done less, but with the rolling start I stand a chance of swimming a similar time conditions dependant. Bike - Done lots more riding, including the ACE250 course over 2 days. Very little time with the tri-bars on and what little time I have spent on them has felt very uncomfortable. Won't make a prediction on performance due to the influence of wind on the course. Run - A bit behind in volume, but post IM Melb last year I also ran the Great Ocean Road marathon and the Melbourne Marathon so if I pace better this year I reckon I have enough kms in the legs to run a similar time in the right conditions. How's everyone else going? Anyone want to catch up for dinner after the welcome? I bumped in Cape Horn and his partner last year and it was great chatting over a burger.
