Year of first Tri race?

Found 9 results

  1. Only a few weeks to 29th edition of Hell of the West - Goondiwindi. There used to be a big group of tranies race out here, please come back. The Goondiwindi region like most of Oz are in crippling drought at moment! but the river is still looking great for the hotw swim and things are gearing up for another great event. So get a group of mates together and do a road trip out here and race a tough-fair- old school race in a community that loves their event and all you crazy triathletes. Then stay and join in the fun with all the organising crew from GOONDIWINDI tri club . 8-9th Feb www.hellofthewest.com
  2. “LOCK UP YOUR PUFF” - The 28th edition of Goondiwindi Tri club HELL OF THE WEST entries are open. Race day is 10th Feb 2019 Get great early bird prices $180 for Half distance, includes great race goodies, cap, and finisher towel. A proper cotton one that will fit around the Clydesdale’s. And fantastic new withdrawal policy for all you higly tuned triathletes that are likely to pull a heart string, sorry I mean hamstring. Eg - Up to 95% refund if you are early bird entrant and have to withdraw before cutoff on 27th Jan 2019. Early bird ends 14th oct. This is a old school community race with fair race conditions, enthusiastic volunteers and great local cheer squad. Perfect for all you trannies. Also plenty of race opinions for family and supporters on the Super Saturday - kids tri, enticer and 5K/10K charity run Don’t bother donanting to drought relief, just get off the coast, come and visit, race and spend some of your hard earned in the towns out west like Goondiwindi. www.hellofthewest.com
  3. HELL OF THE WEST is celebrating 25yrs on 31st Jan 2016 . Entries are open at www.hellofthewest.com . We are trying to collect as many stories/photos etc... of the race . So please share some of your expiences racing the HOTW . We want the good the bad and the ugly or funny!! By the way fellow tranny GUNDY "the golden tonsills " of the HOTW has hung his microphone up and is in hard training to race HOTW 25th edition , so look out !! More info on HOTW 25th in race directors forum .
  4. Just a reminder that entries are closing for this year's HOTW in 2 day's time. We haven't sold out but we're awfully close. Accomodation always seems to be the issue for the weekend. There are camping options inside either the Scout Hall or the PCYC with showers and toilets (just need to bring your swag). However there are often a few late cancellations at motels so it's worth doing a last ring around or contacting Liesl by email at admin@hellofthewest.com to see what might be available. If anyone is racing and has an interesting fact/story/'journey'/whatever let me know. If you know someone racing and think that they should be heckled over the PA system also let me know the relevant facts .............. Hope to see lots of you in a couple of weeks!!!
  5. Below is the Honour role of HOTW winners, we need help with contact details so we can invite them back to celebrate the LEGENDS DINNER and hopefully race at the 25th Year of the HOTW 31st Jan 2016. 6. Based on the banter between Josh Amberger and the HOTW guys we have decided to run a Transitions prime. Partly as a cheap publicity stunt to get more pros active on the forum, but also to give them a chance at a few more $$ (not quite Daniela Ryf stuff but hey, Im no Prince either) and get races like HOTW to hopefully attract more Pro athletes. I am staking up the money HOTW have paid for advertising on the site, and they have graciously agreed to match it. So how do I get a chance to earn the big bucks you might ask? All you have to do is be an active Transitions member and be entered in and win the Elite category. Simple!!! An active Transitions member is an existing member with 20+ posts over the last three months preceding the race, or for new members 20 posts before race day. New members should be quality posts, Definition of quality posts is at the site owners discretion, however contribution to the topic and forum in general should be the main criteria If a male and female Transitions member win their respective Elite categories then the prize pool will be split. Get posting and Training guys and girls. To stop any shenanigans, any athlete putting their hand up to be in line for this Prime will need to state their intentions here (or PM me) so we know who is a bona fide member prior to race day. Let me know if I have forgotten anything or its not clear.
