  1. Here are some videos from Ben, showing how he does his stuff, not just buying generic rims and rebadging them. Some cool stuff here for carbon buffs. Remember if you do get wheels from Ben, mention Transitions and he will look after you.
  2. In the age of seemingly everything going offshore its good to see some niche stuff staying local. These guys are actually based in my street and are the guys Ben from Caden wheels works with to do his mouldings and prototyping. Ben is hoping to get me in to have a look at their processes soon to see how they collaborate. http://www.justcronullanews.com/2015/06/01/1-4m-for-high-tech-kurnell-company/ We are also close to getting sorted for a test pair of Caden wheels so check out his site. http://www.carbonbikewheels.com.au/ (I make no apologies for unashamedly trying to help along local businesses in our sport)

    Zipp 808

Selling my zipp wheels . Tubulars 808 4-years old. Great condition, used for 5 ironman races, 7 70.3 and 7 Olympic races. Other than that I have never trained on them. Comes with ultegra 10 speed cassette . Can post pictures next week if you pm your email address as I am in kona. Love these wheels but honestly am shit scared about having a puncture on them in a race as I don't feel confident changeling them. Decided to sell after kona as the next day after race rear wheel was dead flat. Tried to pump it but had a tear in the tyre . No probs during race and I can only assume that the gooey stuff that my bike shop worked. Really not sure how much they are worth but someone told me about $1500. Pretty sure I paid about $3000 with tyres and cassette . Willing to swap (and pay a reasonable cost difference ) but I really only want zipps.

  6. Having bought a torque wrench I'm after some sage advice on torque settings for my carbon frame/alloy seatpost setup. My Saracen Galibier is a fairly rare beast that didn't come with much doco new, and there's not a whole lot of technical documentation around on the frame online. Great frame, well finished, and no doubt made somewhere in Asia and that day they stuck a Saracen finishing kit on it. The online spec describes it as "full monocoque ACCM carbon fibre" but are sadly silent on how many Nm's it takes to shatter the frame. Found a few posts advocating torque wrenches and carbon paste, nothing specifically on how many Nms are too many. Thanks! Kanga

  10. Hi, I bought a Cervelo R3 last March and now thinking of selling it because I think it's too big for me. It's a 54cm frame. This bike's never been crashed or ridden in the rain. Barely has any scatches on it. I've ridden it for approx 700kms. SRAM Rival groupset. Everything is stock. What would be a reasonable price for it if I do decide to sell this 4 month old bike? *HED wheels not included.
