  1. Hi folks well done to all those that competed at Port this weekend - heard it was a great weekend and good luck to all those getting ready for Cairns .... If anyone is considering selling now or in the next month or two - please feel free to PM me and hopefully we can help each other out - I am based in Brisbane but travel interstate on a regular basis .... Thanks and safe training ..... Cheers Clayte
  2. Nice to see some social reserach being funded by a bike company. Im sure the cynics will say there is an ulterior motive. Road Bikes, Not Ritalin: How Cycling Could Help Kids with ADHD Specialized bikes founder Mike Sinyard has suffered from ADHD since childhood. Cycling, however, always seemed to ease his inability to stay focused. From what he's noticed, it's also improved his son’s ADHD symptoms. In the past few years, Sinyard has embarked on a quest to see if science can back his observations. If the evidence is there, the ultimate goal is to get doctors to prescribe bike rides over drugs to kids diagnosed with ADHD. His most exciting effort to date: funding a new study at Stanford University’s Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health that could not only prove his bike theory, but also vastly improve our knowledge about the effects of exercise on the disorder. 3. Scumbags broke into my storage cage (basement, supposedly secured, thick chain) in Richmond, VIC, and have knicked my: - Distinctive Specialized Shiv Pro, black with grey decals, with upgraded 3T bars, xlab BTA, sitaero saddlle with spare kit in rear cage - ENVE 6.7 clinchers - Rudy fluero green helmet wingspan with Pete Jacobs' signature on both sides. Incredibly sentimentally valuable to me, did my first Ironman with this gear. If you seek anyone hawking any of this stuff, please PM me. Reward offered. Yes I have the serial nos, yes it's reported, yes I'm hoping insurance will cover some (not all) of it.
  4. BOTH have been sold!!! Thanks I have a USED Kask Bambino and a pair of BRAND NEW S-works Road Shoes for sale. Both are located in Melbourne, i am willing to meet for Pickup or Send Australia wide via Aus Post at buyers expense. Overnight freight anywhere in Australia is around $20 for either of these. Kask Bambino - White, Size Medium $250.00 ONO The Kask Bambino is coming up on 18months old. It has only been used on races, 4 x Ironman's and 2 x 70.3's Still in great condition, comfortable as all hell and Super Aero!!! Comes with a dedicated carry bag, see pics. The Visor has an anti fog layer on the inside that has some very small spots that are starting to peel, but does not effect vision. RRP on this is over 500 so i think $250 is fair... But if people out there think its not, please let me know. See Pics Below. BRAND NEW S-Works Road Shoes - White, Size 44 $400 ONO The Shoes were bought in November last year, I got the wrong size and then eventually didnt like the White colour either. with races coming up and holiday period i never got around to returning them for a swap. now its too late for that. So I'm offering them up to a Tranny for a good deal. RRP is $450 for these, since they are brand new I'm offering them for $400. Again, if anyone thinks this is still too high please let me know. Please PM me if you are interested in either of these.
  5. Good Condition, small scuff marks on ankle & toe. $180 $150 + postage (neg).
  6. Just putting the feelers out there to see if anyone wants to swap a set of Specialized S-Works carbon cranks with a Quarq Riken (specialized specific) PM 172.5mm, 39/53, 130BCD for the same in a Compact crank (ie 110BCD)? Quarq & cranks are in perfect condition. PM for pics if interested. Cheers JJ
  7. So Macca (The Greatest Ever), Crowie (The Peoples Champ) got a spare Specialized McLaren TT helmet your could lend a fellow local from the Shire? He's doing his first Ironman and wants to look good for the photo's. If the photo's are no good he might have to do another and he really doesn't want that. So not being able to buy the best looking aero helmet out there (Specialized McLaren TT), can you hook a brother up? Oh and if it could be blue to match the TOSS colours that'd be great.
