Year of first Tri race?

Found 5 results

  1. It's that time of year again. The Tour de France gets underway this weekend, and the final make-up of the sport's leading team is still to be decided in the courts. The same rules apply to previous years, and Grand Tours. Pick your 9 riders (not sure why it's still nine, seeing as UCI has reduced the team numbers to 8 in the GT's now). Due to the ongoing controversy around Froome, they have created an "auto-replacement feature" this year, which will automatically slot the next best applicable rider into the slot of anyone not starting the race. You can however go in and make changes yourself up until race cut-off time on Saturday. Just go to this site https://www.velogames.com/tour-de-france/2018/ and pick your team. Then join the Transitions mini-league, 250783411. If you are after any information to try to pick a good team (never worked for me in the past), you will find a lot here. http://www.steephill.tv/tour-de-france/ Good luck everybody, and have fun.
  2. Here we go again. Another 4 weeks of walking around like a zombie after sleepless nights as the Tour de France starts this Saturday. Hurry up and get your entries into the Trannies tipping contest. Usual rules apply. Nine riders, 100 points. Most points at the end of the tour wins. All others get ribbed and ridiculed all the way through (including me if it's anything like last year). Details for entry are here: Site - http://www.velogames.com/ League Name: Transitions League Code: 652021551011 This thread can also work as the TDF preview & discussion thread. For those of you who remember the great posts TrevS used to make each year when the tour came round, we'll do the same thing here (TrevS, we'd love to see some input here). I'll post up a preview for Stage 1 by Friday, but could we have some volunteers for some more stages. Over to the rest of you now.
  3. Just thought I'd start a new thread for this year's edition of Le Tour. Don't forget to get your entries in for the Velogames tipping comp. Website is http://www.velogames.com/ League details are: League Name: Transitions League Code: 26140412 It's simple to enter. Just sign up (free) and pick 9 riders with a value of 100 points or less. Then just join the Transitions League, sit back & see how your team perform. Lots of fun, and interesing to boot.
  4. OK, with the Tour only 2 weeks away, it's time to start thinking about who you want in your Fantasy Team. Velogames won't open for another week, until the Pro Teams have picked their squads, but you can check out the likely candidates on sites like Steephill. I'll start a mini-league once Velogames opens, and I'll post the details. Remember, not only are you fighting for the glory of the win for this Tour, but scores will be combined across the 3 Grand Tours for an overall GT winner for the season. Scores so far are If you see your team above without your name beside it, let me know, as there's still a few that need to be added. And if you didn't enter the Giro, that's ok, you can still enter the Tour de France, only you'll have to do real well to try to win the overall.
  5. Folks, Thought I'd set upa seperate thread for the tipping comp, as the details will get lost on the other one as soon as it goes to the next page. Details of the Velogames league are as follows. Entries will close in the early hours of the morning tonight our time, so get in fast. League Details League Owner: Hasbeen Owner Email: Tony.E.Delisser@team.telstra.com League Name: Trannies League Code: 08233147 Link to Velogames is http://www.velogames.com/giro-ditalia/2014/ Hopefully we'll get a good turnout. There are currently 13 teams in the league. I've got an interesting perpetual trophy I think I will put up for the person with the best overall score for the 3 Grand Tours, so get in quick before it's too late.
