Anyone have any experience or knowledge on this? Sydney would be easiest but I could send elsewhere.
I have a black Trek E11 (Equinox) Frame available. Size 56cm that i am keen to offload. I think it is a 2006 frame. I am not the original owner, i bought it off a guy who was going to build it up, I was going to build it up and instead it has sat in the bike room wrapped in plastic for the last year, so i figure offload it pre Christmas and get a built up bike in the new year. Frame is in good condition, only one major scratch on the downtube, nothing major but it is there. No other issues with the frame. Frame and fork are both carbon - specs are Frame Construction - Bonded Frame Tubing Material OCLV HC Carbon Fork Brand & Model Bontrager Race XXX Lite TT Fork Material Carbon fiber, aero crown Cane Creek Headset Also has the seat post. While i don't know how to upload pics - this would be the bike built up - http://www.bikepedia.com/quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?year=2006&brand=Trek&model=Equinox+11 I was thinking maybe $200 For $275 i can throw in some 172.5 Duraace 7800 cranks with a 54t big chain ring that have seen very minimal use, Ultegra rear derailleur 10spd and some cervelo brakes. So your bike build is well on its way. Overall bike frame is in good condition. Bike is located in Sydney and i can drop it off to most Sydney metro locations. I could box it up and send if required, with the buyer to pay postage. Any interest?? I can send pictures to your mobile, if you message me your number.
First up, brand new, never used Silverback Scalera frameset - 56 cm. Originally sourced for a build - current model. Frame, carbon seatpost (Deda aero) saddle (Prologo Zero) and stem (Deda Zero) as shown here: http://www.silverbacklab.com/upload/2011_website_SILVERBACK/scalera2_14.htm Asking $550 for the lot plus postage. Will be sent in original box. Happy to arrange courier, etc if you give me details. If you need a quote, it will be sent from Melbourne 3000. Pick up is fine by arrangement.
So I'm looking into upgrading from using the roady with tri bars to a faster rig. I brought the roady as it's more of an all year round option and more durable. However it's not the best for TTing and I can definately go faster if I do some upgrades. My question is am I better off throwing my money at some fast wheels, say an 85mm rear and 65 front or am I better off upgrading the frame and getting a more TT setup? I would just take the gear of my roady and put it on a new TT frame. I will probably go for the frame but I thought that this would be a good discussion topic for a few of the people on here.
