    Sleeper Retaining Wall

Has anybody had experience with using 50mm treated hardwood sleepers for a low retaining wall? I'm worried the sleepers may warp & get out of true. The wall will only be 2 or 3 high, and the word "retaining" is a misnomer. The dirt behind it is rock that took a jackhammer to move (see picture below). In the past I've used ex-railway sleepers & they've been great, but they won't go with this new house. So all I want to know is has anybody had experience with 2in hardwood sleepers warping, and under what conditions, or has anybody had them in for a good length of time without any issues. Thanks
