  1. Any of our expat Trannies got experience of tri clubs and/or places to train in Jakarta? Google isn't returning many valuable hits. I'll be working there for the next 4 weeks, in the Kemang, Blok M suburbs. I need to make sure my apparently already unworthy state (read qualifying for Vegas thread) doesn't deteriorate too much. : )

  4. Well it looks like they finally got it together and have released the new Orbea this week. Almost 24 months ago that Crowie gave up on them because of the delays with this bike... Lucky he didn't decide to stick it out and wait!
  5. Hi folks Can anyone advise of the quality of the bike leg at Forster? A friend did an IM there back in 2004 and said he would never go back as the road was like corrugated iron! Have the roads been upgraded in the last 8 years or is it still pretty bumpy? This will be a deciding factor as to whether I can convince him to accompany me on my first long course! Cheers Rosie
  6. Hi all, I recently relocated to Perth from the nsw coast. I've currently got a few things in storage over there including my tt bike. I'd lie to get the bike over here, what would be the best way to get it transported? Can anyone recommend a freight company? Thanks, John.

  8. I've been using one of these Planet Bike rear lights for quite a while but it has recently died on me (link http://www.cellbikes.com.au/Rear-Bike-Light-Planet-Bike-Super-Flash) I don't think they are too bad but have recently seen some really bright rear lights on the road and was wondering if you guys have any recommendations on what to get? I'd rather get it locally if possible so I can get it quickly. Cheers, Rog

  10. Hey, So as it starts to get warmer, and as Port Mac Ironman edges closer, I'm thinking its about time to organise a tour to the mountains for some more serious training before it gets too hot over Summer Has anyone done a credit card tour from Sydney? Where did you go? How did you do it? How long do you ride each day. Did you take the missus (as road crew or part of the peleton)? I am hoping to maybe take a days leave each side of the weekend to make it a proper(ish) trip. I think going to Thredbo would be awesome! Has anyone done a ride to Thredbo and a tour around there? Or did you drive then do day trips out and about. Welcome all suggestions thanks!!!!
